I cant remember what i sign up for that Christmas promo.

Gotten 30k funds earmarked and $180 credited.

Anybody got a link or sms screenshot of any advert about it? I totally cant remember. Just want to know this earmarked is for how long.

Also abit bo hua like that. Once earmarked, the amount wont get bonus interest. If one has 100k in the account, factoring the bonus interest on the last 25k at 7.8 percent and 5k at the next below tier at 4.85... the bonus interest for 30k of earmarked account will be more than the $180 credit given.

Anyone knows its gonna earmarked for how long? Ahhh they damn smart doing this. ultimately paying ppl lesser already haha.. i should have read it or understand it earlier before sending the sms for the promo lol..

Your question is not specific enough. Let me rephase it: If you charge petrol, SP bill, mobile bills to UOB One card, yes, they are eligible transaction (and earn cash rebate) for both UOB One card as well as UOB One account.

ok i call up UOB. they say the earmarked account will still get bonus interest.

So if one has 100k, and 30k gets earmarked, you will still get the EIR of 5 percent.

But the CSO who picked my call sounds like a part timer or young girl, not sure she give correct info or not haha.

Have anyone Register for the Saving Promotion twice and they only take the first submission?

I had read the T&C clearly stated will take the last submitted form, but the hotline keep insisting is first submission only. I requested them for black and white yet they unable to produce me.


2.6 If you have submitted more than one Participation Form during the Promotion Period under this Promotion, UOB will use the last Participation Form submitted within the earliest Qualifying Period (as defined in Clause 2.8 below) to determine your eligibility for earmarking purposes.

I think If your Nov amount is $100k, and Dec is NOT 200k, you won’t get it.

You will get only if your incremental increase is at least 100k as compared to your Nov end balance , based on the $680 Christmas promotion.
For the Lunar New Year promotion of $888 , it must be 100k more for Jan 2023 as compared to 31 Dec 2022 day end amount

I see. I think I missed by a bit..my Nov balance was $1000. Dec balance was $100k..forgot to top up $1000..

Spoke to cso, the person shared that the promo fund will be under ledger balance and will be able to earn the base and bonus interest.

Nice. Was still wondering how it works and should I be transferring some $ back to UOB to make up the earmarked amount in order to earn the same interest.

Is this UOB one or ocbc360 account better?
Does the $500 spending includes petrol, Sp bills and or mobile bills?
Or maybe if i were to look for a account with savings & credit of salary excluding spending, which is better?

For me is UOB1, simpler requirement.
Salary + spend 500.

I kinda stop trusting UOB promos. their 'limited' rewards... really a turn-off.

same for their coupons in their apps. easily fully redeemed or 0 left.

customer service also declining. RM not knowledgeable or empathetic, asked me to look at other investment products when I almost missed applying for SSB because the bank almost didn't make it in time to credit my money back from a matured SD.

now I just use their UOB One card to take advantage of the 3.33% + 5% cashback. must watch carefully every transaction and what was posted, etc.

their One account, on the other hand, is not attractive at all compared to other banks.

Got to be fast hand and legs with the hot UOB rewards coupons. Release at 11.30, have to camp at 11.20 and refresh screen.
Can share more about savings acct better than uob1 acct anot?

Spending part abit confusing...
I spend mostly on petrol, SP bill/starhub bill, ntuc purchases etc...
Dunno if that qualify for the 500 spending on cc anot.....

I believe they should, anyway if u login 1 acct, u can see if u meet qualifying spend at a glance. If not join those cashback telegram and ask the folks over there.
