If they are going to stop salary through FAST when they have been doing so for so long, they should have to make an announcement that there is a change of terms.
It would be dishonest to just stop accepting FAST transfers that satisfied the requirement. Cos they would be depriving the account holders of the opportunity to decide whether to leave the money with the account
Wouldn’t have bothered with UOB one if they stop accepting FAST.

Me too.
If they just suddenly stop changing the requirement without informing us imo it's cheating us
not going to mess around with changing payroll bank account.

Otherwise I would have split my payroll across all those other HYSA banks - OCBC , Bank of China etc. to fulfill salary criteria and get at each bank max possible interest rates.

just because people close one eye, you cannot say people cheat :)

Go to UOB ONE webpage and click all the "information popup" and read
There are legitimate use case for people to pay via this method. Of course of it comes from a same name account, UOB has all rights to reject it if they wish.

Close one eye to what?
Where in the tnc does it say that the salary must come through GIRO?

There is a cap of $50 a month with 150k ADB. To get $50 at 6% rebate, this means you paid at least 833.33 each month which is 10k for 12 months. I think kimsix is referring to this.
Actually if have $150k in UOB One, the maximum monthly tax saver is capped of $50, which equates to $833.34 per month of Tax.
For average people usually our monthly tax is alot alot lower than that.
Does it make sense to shorten our number of months of payment (e.g. 6 months) for this year? to get back the tax cashback sooner? or just set it over the 12 months?

Just a discussion point.

From what i hear. Since people have confirmed that if do via egiro no change to tax plan. I believe its just a visual glitch/bad system design. Because april tax payment although not deducted has been sent out and approved by bank(non uob) already if u see your notices. Meaning high chance your april deduction will still happen just that it will be from the non uob bank(pre change).
Once that happens, FY2025 will start on 6th May where iras should rebalance your giro based on the remaining balance and send you a new tax plan which should be the “correct” monthly amount deducted from uob, aka 12 months of rebates until april 2026

Mine deducted today (last one before deducts from UOB next month).

Before changing to UOB, was notified it will be 182 monthly from May 25 onwards. After switching to UOB, it became 194 monthly. Based on the 6% rebate, feels like no change to me.

Then whose fault that they accepted the transfers ?
They should have rejected from day 1 .
The account holders did not breach anything .
If they didn't qualify , they simply didn't qualify. The bank accepted the transfers as having qualified for the bonus.

.
If they want, maybe now they say not qualified and claw back.

Is it confirmed that from 01-April-2025 onwards, salary credit into UOB One using FAST is no longer accepted? I haven’t done my usual $1600 FAST transfer for Apr yet. If this no longer works then I will just dump the bulk of my UOB One account balance into SCB ESaver till end of May.

You can always choose to pay IRAS in one lump sum.
