citibank dividend dont have $100 interest per month

if you use citidividend at 700/month, you get $1.75/month or $4.75/quarter. you call this slightly better?

Sorry, where does the interest of $100/mth come from?

I am confused with the new change in the cash rebate for Citibank Dividend MasterCard, from the $700/mth about $400 will be petrol.

$100 comes from 50k deposit in the one account.

citidividend give 0.25% if you spend less than 888, regardless what you spend on.

3 Giro - Settled by mobile and broadband liao.
$500/mth - Petrol already $400 or more liao.

So petrol + mobile & broadband, it would be about $600+ to $700 liao. But like that only get cash rebate of $50/quarter, very little leh.

It seems like Citibank Dividend MasterCard is still slightly better.

Think you are really confused.

There is UOB One Savings account where you save your money. By doing 3 GIRO and spending min $500 on UOB One Visa credit card you get the higher bonus interest on the UOB One Savings account.

GIRO is paying from UOB One Savings account, not UOB One Visa credit card, so paying mobile & broadband using GIRO don't add to the spending on your UOB One Visa credit card. You can consider GIRO to pay your UOB One Visa credit card bill, income tax and any other credit card for the 3 GIRO. Pay your mobile & broadband using credit card instead.

For Citibank Dividend MasterCard google for the official website and also the forum discussion. It is a good card if you can spend around 300 on every of the 3 category dining, groceries and petrol and the total spend exceeds $888. 8% rebate capped at $25 for each of the 3 categories, which equals $312.50 spending in each category

Oh, with $50K deposit in this UOB One Savings account and fulfill the few other criteria as stated will get $100/mth as interest?

Guess this is good for spare cash which are lying around doing nothing.

Sorry, please help me out here, for Citibank Dividend MasterCard :

If spend <$888 : 0.25% cashback
If spend >$888 : How many % cashback?

Yah, sorry ..... I am really confused.

Now I know, there is :

1. UOB One Account
2. UOB One Card

For UOB One Account
================
Maximum effective interest rate (EIR) on the One Account is 2.43% p.a. for deposits of S$50,000, provided customers meet both criteria of :
a) S$500 Card Spend AND
b) Min. S$2,000 salary credit via GIRO OR 3 GIRO debits in each calendar month

For UOB One Card
=============
Minimum of 3 purchases on the card.

If spend $500/mth for 3 consecutive month, get $50 (3.33%) cashback.
If spend $1,000/mth for 3 consecutive month, get $100 (3.33%) cashback.
If spend $2,000/mth for 3 consecutive month, get $300 (5%) cashback.

Am I correct now?

Yup much clearer now :) Just to be even clearer, it is not just any 3 consecutive month but need to be 3 months of the qualifying quarter. Qualifying quarter depends on the card opened month.

Wah lau, they really make it complicated for us to qualify. I think they purposely make it very complicated so that we don't bother to track.

My friend told me that Amex gives 1.5% cashback flat across total amount spent. No complicated quarters or categories to remember. Like this better than the rest right?

Nets spending to uob one acct is counted towards 500?

u mean charged to your uob debit card linked to uob one account? then yes, hahaha

"Earn up to 2% p.a. interest when you spend S$500 monthly on your UOB One Card and/or UOB Direct Visa Debit Card."

so issit $10.01 they will deduct, $10 won't ?

Yes that's my understanding. ... but an exception is when you have an annual fee waiver... some people choose only Giro min payment, and that annual fee reversal is considered "payment" even u have not paid a single cent. When the min payment amount is crossed, Giro won't be activated even if your bill is > $10

do u know if the below 10 dollars no giro thing, is it written on the uob one tnc/website or the giro application form?

is on neither, how can uob expect people to know there is such a rule?

UOB expects people to use and pay more than $10 a month.
