I think have to correct my statement above. After looking through my bill, I think Singtel online bill and prepaid top-up can be told apart:

SINGTEL-MYBILL SINGAPORE SG
SINGTEL HI!ACCOUNT TOP-UP SINGAPORE SG

did u refer to my old post?

its just like a diff product from the same company.
unless they clearly exclude that 2nd naming portion, bank will just treat it as singtel.

unless they have flagged that merchant, it will still be otherwise as singtel.

if they were to refer to mcc because its singtel, both option mean no different to them.
which one of the smart alec bank was shot because cso and backend team reply otherwise.

I got my One card in second week of Jan, managed to spend $1,xxx, was caught by surprise that my statement close date was on 18th so didn't manage to hit $2K. I then exceeded $2K for Frb-Mar statements. I should at least get a prorated 2/3 of $300 rebate, correct?

Got apparently it is in their T&Cs and explained earlier in the thread. I just wanted to make sure my example fits and T&Cs haven't changed since.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Helpful to know so I have an idea what to ask for :)

Think the system by default will give you $100 rebate for fulfilling min $1000 spending in the 3 months, even if you do spend $2000 in the later 2 months. Try to get the CSO to agree on a plan to give you higher rebate of at least $200 and then track to ensure u do get the rebate as promised.

My UOB One Card is up for renewal this month and when I called them to request for full fee waiver, I was informed that this year there will be 2 options: $130 hotel voucher or half waiver. Damn!!

Hope they dont chut pattern and make this card redundant

Try to not be tied down by this card (eg UOB One account) and be ready to threaten to cancel the card.

I'm currently using this card to earn additional interest for One account. Apart from BOC Smartsaver, is there any other scheme that can offer 2.43% pa?

Updating to share my experience. The CSO was very friendly, and actually told me that had I not used my card the month of issue, the system would have automatically calculated and awarded me the prorated rebate! LOL

Even she acknowledged that sounds quite silly.

Anyway she's put in a request for an exemption so I will get the proprated rebate, and she very zi dong offer to adjust the billing period. I don't mind that it doesn't exactly tie in to month end/beginning, but one of my recurring billings logs the transaction on the statement close date, so this way I avoid any doubt should it be delayed for any reason.
