Yes, if it fits your spending patterns. My wife and I use it and hit $500 a month to get increased interest rates with our UOB One bank accounts. It's an extra ~$100 a month, can't argue with that. The new terms are irritating, but they're not deal breakers for us.

What we do - Any non Dining/Groceries/Petrol expenditure will be made on the UOB One, until we hit $500, after which we use other cards.
non dining /groceries /petrol? Watz left to charge?

im on the $2000 mthly spending tier. if after the quarter ends, & i get the 5% rebate of $300, the following first month in the new quarter, do i need to spent $2300, or $2000 will do? i scared i spent $2000, after offset rebate is $1700, means that month never hit the $2000/mth tier

It's always based on spending, not your payable cc bill.

Wack 200 on ezlink for my whole family.

Yes there are better cards, but we don't spend so much, and we both need to hit at least $500 each to get the higher interest rates on the linked UOB One bank account, so this fits our needs nicely.

Basically, we hit $888 per month on Citibank to get ~8% on dining/groceries/petrol, then another $500 each on other stuff on the UOB One to get $50 cash back per quarter as well as higher interest rates on the UOB One bank account. Other higher rebate cards would have their own min spending, which will force us to spend more than we want to, so no point. We do also have another Amex True Cashback to catch all those extra stuff that we buy beyond these 2 cards, as well as an ANZ Optimum set to dining for times we spend beyond the Citibank rebate limit for dining.

It works for us, might not work for you.

Groceries is part of retail

Is this a new condition?
I've been charging to NTUC and still getting rebates.

OK there's some confusion here. Someone asked me if don't use for dining/groceries/petrol then there's not much else to use it for. The reason why I'm not using the UOB ONE card for these categories is because I'm using my Citi cashback for that. I then gave examples of other categories that I'm using UOB ONE for, including retail. HWZ1973 then asked if buying from NTUC counts as retail. I almost always use my Citibank card when buying from NTUC, where it goes under "groceries", hence my answer. Just to clarify, the UOB ONE card doesn't have the concept of categories, hence pretty much everything you use the card for, with certain exclusions, will qualify for rebates.
