Hey!

The Minimum 5 transaction is really irritating.

Does anyone know any charities I can sign up with to donate $1 each month to meet this requirement?

I found a couple already but I still need 2 more, then again, is it ok to share this information publicly? I mean UOB wont so ******* and don't encourage me to donate right?

I am on 2k per month bracket. Killer is the amount itself, not not min 5 transactions.
If missed by a small %, will feel very ai wan.

Why need to donate? Can easily pay multiple $1 to telco bills.

I'm looking for those monthly auto deduct actually, since leaving Singapore and the $500 is paying insurance for my mother. Really no point of keeping it on the card if I get nothing back.

And then this ties in nicely with the one account too so can just park money there... but that requires GIRO payments as well so that's 2 more donations on top of my one card GIROing.

I'm thinking its worth it to make the insurance cost me 400 ish a month and on every third month 350 ish.

Nothing difficult or irritating about it. You can buy 1 mineral water from supermarket per time and just wave it.

If using this card at SMART$ merchants, do I get the base cash rebate IN ADDITION to the SMART$ rebate?

Couldn't find anything in the T&C. Closest I could find was their product feature saying 'Additional...'

Sorry I sua ku ar.. Giro can choose to pay multiple times of $1 to same Telco? That's definitely good to know. =:p

I was talking about meeting the 5 transactions per month for the quarterly rebate. Nothing to do with GIRO.

is it even worth keeping this card now? Contemplating to cancel it actually.. :s22:

Yes, if it fits your spending patterns. My wife and I use it and hit $500 a month to get increased interest rates with our UOB One bank accounts. It's an extra ~$100 a month, can't argue with that. The new terms are irritating, but they're not deal breakers for us.

What we do - Any non Dining/Groceries/Petrol expenditure will be made on the UOB One, until we hit $500, after which we use other cards.

im on the $2000 mthly spending tier. if after the quarter ends, & i get the 5% rebate of $300, the following first month in the new quarter, do i need to spent $2300, or $2000 will do? i scared i spent $2000, after offset rebate is $1700, means that month never hit the $2000/mth tier

do not take rebates given by bank into the "min. spending requirement" . 2 different thing. as long as u hit qualified min. spend, u shld be be entitled to rebates
