excluslding uobbone I assume since it's quarterly.

70 x12 + 50 uob one x 4 = 990 a yr. Nice.

Seem more appealing than miles ya.....maybe can adopt your strategy.

U spend on patrol?

I don't have guards, but yes, I spend on petrol.

If you zun zun hit $888 on Citibank and spread among the 3 categories to maximize your rebates at 8%, you will get $71.04 a month. Of course, that's often impossible. For example, I don't spend as much on petrol as I do on groceries/dining, so end up my groceries/dining will hit the max rebates, after which any additional spending will only enjoy 0.25% cashback, hence monthly cashback for those 2 categories is only 7.x %. Still very good, when compared to UOB's discrete tiers which pretty much ensure you'll never truly hit 3.33% cash back.

actually it depends on spending patterns... I find UOB One easier to hit exact for max rebates cos there is no category restrictions except for the exceptions list. For UOB One....i'll monitor and spend on everything under the sun until $1.9K++ every month which is usually at least 10 days from my statement date then immediately pay whatever amount to telco to hit 2k exactly. Thereafter, put the card in cold storage for the next few days until next statement month.

Yes, definitely depends on spending patterns. Like I said earlier, what works for me might not work for you.

i'm in the 5% tier for UOB One... like we've mentioned eariler before, it really depends on spending habits... My spending style makes UOB One a very useful card for me.... Cashback card simply doesnt work for me cos i wouldn't hit max rebate for petrol to enjoy the full 8%...

The way I use citi div is I usually get $60 out of $900 spendings which is 6.7% rebate, far from 8% but still better than most cards

You don't need to, but you have to to maximize the cash back. There is a cap for each category, so if you max out on the cap for even 2 out of the 3 categories and don't spend on anything else, you won't hit $888.

So, either you spend more on those 2 categories, hence reducing your cash back from 8% to a lower figure, or you spend on unrelated categories that only earn you 0.25% cash back, or you spend on all 3 categories.

I asked the reason why excluding installments effective 1 feb

They said is to align with market practice

Can I report Uob for being uncompetitive?

Any good way I can get a last giro transaction on my account by feb?

I'm considering charity $1 but may not be in time... Giro processing seems long.

I just want to do it for one month only

One Card billing cycle is 15th to 14th/15th right? I just started using this card haven't receive first bill.

Previously on Citibank Dividend, ANZ Optimum and Amex True Cashback, almost like what @galapagos was doing. Now, throwing UOB One into the mix - hope to optimize cashback rebates/interest as much as possible ... kkekeke

The only thing u can do is to stop using this card since ur spending power cannot accommodate newly implemented market practice.
