i am on the $2,000 spending tier for my UOB one card.

to my horror i realised a credit of $70 was credited back to my card in the current statement.

does that means all my rebates is gone for the current qualifying quarter?

can i remedy the situation by spending extra $70 on this statement?

Yes can spend another $70 to make up the $2000.

Thanks.

I realise I was not clear. The $70 Spending that was credited to the currrent statement is a spending in the previous statement. It was credited in the current statement

So anyway to salvage the situation?

Oic if I not wrong you can still spend $70 more in the current month to make up the $70 refund for last month's spending credited this month. Call the bank to confirm.

Could you clarify further: was it a case where your statement spending balance for the previous month was $2,069 and so with this credit, your actual spending for the last month was $1,999? If so, then I think you could be out of luck. But of course, if after this $70 credit, your previous month spending was still above $2,000 then you're safe.

Thanks.

My previous statement was just above $2,000. Now the $70 refund occuring in the current statement, this means my spending for previous statement would now be below $2,000

Err.... nothing to do with reset every 3 months. I am in the 2nd month of quarter. Now with the $70 spending in the 1st months refund into the current statement (2nd ninth) , my 1st month spending will now be below $2,000

If the credit is for this statement then you just need to spend the additional this month, the previous statement is not affected.

If it was in the previous statement I.e last statement total is below 2k then you will need to call up to appeal. They have pretty good customer service and I have managed to get my appeal through twice.

Oh I see. Technically you wouldn't qualify for the $2,000 tier then, I guess. But you should definitely try to appeal and see if you can work something out with the bank. Let us know how this turns out, best of luck!

if your current statement cut off date has not been reached, you can spend $70 more this month. The refund credit only affects the statement in which the credit is posted, not the statement when the spend that was refunded that was made.

New Criteria since 1st Feb 17 - Qtr Statement - Last month 8th Feb

7th Feb 17 Installment $215 not counted for the Rebate (Hits $1,000 usually) -- Dec to Feb Qtr

CSO advised me to spend that $215 this month
(Statement 8th Mar 17) then call in to appeal.

Do you have the same situation?

So "fantastic"......

You should have spent additional $215 for the feb statement. Glad that uob allow you to make up the spending for an appeal.

Well the terms wasn't very clear.

I had thought since its the last quarter -- Last statement of the quarter, every transaction in that statement should count....

Hopefully this is what my understanding is correct -- I'll just spend the $215 this month. Transferring most of my UOB One Bank account funds to BOC.

Hi guys, i would like to ask for this card:

So now, 5 transactions for the statement month correct?

i want to ask for a transaction that falls under the Exclusions - does it still count towards +1 transaction under the '5transaction requirement'?

Excluded means not even considered, so no
