Something must be wrong with UOB. The CSO told me I am not eligble for the $300 rebate because their cut off is on the 12th every month (default).

I applied and received the card on 28 June, which they claimed was after the cut off, so my quarter rebate is immediately prorated downwards (basically, CSO is claiming that because I applied after 12th, I am ineligible for the max rebate by default). Ridiculous!

Now I see your cut off is 2nd every month, makes me wonder what UOB is doing :frus:

Billing cycle date can be adjusted if needed, you can call up UOB to request

Rebate will be pro-rated in your first quarter, as your first "month" may be a lot shorter depending on which day you received your card so if you managed to fulfill the spending in second and third month, they will give you 2/3 of the quarterly rebate (which by right you will need to fulfill every month in that quarter in order to get the rebate)

You should have checked the cutoff/statement date before using the card instead of assuming.

UOB has to follow the individual's billing cycle. I see nothing wrong with it.

Anyway, first quarter (after receiving card) will result in confusion. At least you know now, and will watch out for next quarter.

You should have checked the cutoff/statement date before using the card instead of assuming.

You should have asked me if I checked before assuming I simply assumed.

Per the CSO manager gave a return call to confirm that there may be misunderstanding (review of call recordings), as the previous CSO may have given the wrong impression when I first called before applying and and also before charging my card.

But, nothing can be done from their part, even though they acknowledge the 'miscommunication'.

Yes, but I've decided to do away with UOB cards, with my personal experience, and also couple of negative feedbacks from friends and colleagues. Of course, ymmv applies.

Sorry if misunderstood you. The CSO totally messed up, if you are new UOB card no way the CSO can advise on the statement date before you apply for the card.

Hi.. read from the previous thread and was confused about the qualifying period for the rebate.. lets say if i receive my card on 8 September, then my billing period for the first month will be from 8 September to 7 October, second month from 8 October to 7 November and third month 8 November to 7 December? Which means in order to get the rebate, i need to spend over 500, 1000 or 2000 for the period 8 September to 7 October, 8 October to 7 November and 8 November to 7 December?

CC limit

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if any, Im using UOB One card (acc is UOB One account) but now I'm so confused about my CC limit after do the IPP.
Lets say my CC limit is $10500, I spent ~$3300 this month until last Sunday (last month ~ 2900), I purchased more 3 items with IPP, total is $3700 (/12 months, so it ~ $320/month). And later on, On this Thu, I couldn't do any payment anymore, I checked my account and it says that My limit left -$790 some how, I can't calculate why they have that negative amount of limit left. Did they count last month amount? even I already do the payment?
(My CC due day is end of month, and bill come around 10th of each month)

And will $320 will be counted into minium spend required for rebate?

So should I call to 1800-3551212 to confirm?
I already went to UOB branch, but they couldn't see my UOB one card information.
Many thanks,

Based on the info you given you should have credit limit of $10500-$3300-$3700 = $3500. Better to call to enquire. A negative credit limit should not be possible in the first place.

The $320/mth not going to count for min spend for rebate.
