if we call UOB on 1st Dec, can we ask them (will they divulge) what is grab top up's MCC?

If you did make a grab top up transaction, you can try ask what is the MCC after it is posted. Anyway, why you need to do that? Dun see any reason unless you have insider news Grab is changing MCC.

Every month just do 5 x grab topup of $100
with no other transactions will meet requirement for rebate right?

Can anyone confirm this ? I always though just doing 5 x top ups will be sufficient to meet the cashback conditions . TIA!

Thx for the confirmation.

Cannot stand it when people start causing unnecessary panic. :s22:

All this unnecessary panic!!!

The UOB One credit card website still shows a upto 10% rebate for grab topup. This should be the best answer.

A bit of caution is necessary to try keep this 10% as long as possible.

Is there a need to do x number of grab transaction of y amount? Or simple hit more than. 500/1000/2000 spending enough?

For uob one card quarterly rebate, need min 5 transactions of any amount per statement month. No such requirement for the additional 5% for grab, just need min $500 spend (inclusive of grab or other eligible spend) in statement month on uob one card.

say, already 1300 is spent on others.
and another 700 is on grab.
this is for 3 months consecutive in a quater

question:
if i spend another 1300 just on grab? would it still qualify for the +5%?
but the amount > 2k, wont get any rebate.
so total 700 (5%+ 5%) +1300 (5%) grab ?
is that right?

Bingo. Grab additional 5% cap at $100 per month
Why don’t 2k grab to uob one, $1300 use other cc?

Think you mean 700 (5%) +1300 (5%+5%) grab.

not really...
coz the first 700 (of the 2k) is spent on grab first = 5% + 5%
then i spend 1300 on others = 5%
subsequently, another 1300 on grab = (since already > 2k, so this sum no 5%? but still can clock 5%, since its grab right?

am i understanding the mechanics of this card correctly?

If like that you get for the month effectively you get

($700 grab+$1300 others)×5% (assuming met the $2000 tier and min 5 transactions each month for all 3 months of qualified quarter)+
($700 grab+$1300 grab)×5%

I.e. additional $1300 on grab above $2000 will still get additional 5%
Rebate to be credited at end of 4th month

hello, i'm still abit confused, can someone help me

if i spend $1500 (5 non-grab transactions) + $600 (grab wallet top-up) x 3 consecutive months

What will be the rebates i should expect to get?

Right.
That's what I thought.

But that will reduce the total effective rebates. Since the total cap that can be earned is only 100+100(grab)

Not sure if should clock the extra 1300 grab. Since I already have 2k (grab + others) ..

Maybe wait for next month to do grab topup
