I see, i checked with another CSO, indeed its included. But the first still insist shes right...seems like next mth onward will give up this card, too much anxiety esp this is a quarterly rebate card...
Hi so did you manage to get the missing cash rebates from UOB? I have been facing same situation with my Cardup transactions.. but weird is that some are eligible while some are not... They have been checking with no update for a month... Check with different CS some say 7399 eligible some say not.. very confusing! Have even called up Cardup to clarify, they said confirm eligible if got problem they can help sort out with UOB as they have a partnership with the bank...

Don't understand why people like to trust basic level CSOs over black and white terms and conditions. TnC is more legally binding than what entry level CSOs claim.

CSOs everywhere are poor when comes to more complex issues, especially those who have been out from training after a long time. If you ask for your account balance, they can get it for you correctly, but if you ask something like this, they would have to refer to the product team for a definite answer. Otherwise, is their interpretation of the TnC vs yours. Do you think those with very good memory, to remember what has been taught plus recent changes and good legal interpretation of TnC, would be entry level CSOs?

Whether you call UOB or Cardup, every time you call, you may get a different answer. Whether MCC qualifies or not, lies with UOB, nothing Cardup can do, other than feed you with past information or standard replies.

If you think CSO and TnC contradict, ask to be referred to higher ups. Even SQ basic CSOs sometimes cannot give the proper answer for complex issues.
For example, once, this CSO attempted to charge me the wrong mileage for a star alliance redemption. Immediately, I told him/her it is wrong and ask him/her to escalate the case. Supervisor called back with correct mileage value.

Even for banks, I just got transferred 4 times, and CSOs claims I was calling the wrong line, when I have called the same line to perform the same task previously. If you want, just record the call, once you get one CSO claiming it is eligible, use that against UOB to claim for points subsequently.

Just noticed that the Aviva payments made via ipaymy in June are classified under insurance in the spend breakdown on app.
Seems like might be an issue for quarterly rebates. Options for insurance payments seem to be disappearing fast

Spend breakdown does not mean anything. Ultimately depends on MCC

Is the MCC 7399?

Some CSO told me Grabpay top up is also under 7399 now, but is excluded from rebate (since March, which we all know). So not all 7399 is included. Hear already very pek cek. Sounds like even if MCC is not excluded, they may still exclude certain transactions as they like. Dunno how they actually filter in the first place.

All based on the TnC. Grabpay topup is explicitly excluded.

Yes everyone knows Grabpay top up is excluded but they still go and put it under 7399 which causes confusion, since 7399 supposed to be included under rebates.

So likewise, insurance by cardup/ipaymy also now under 7399 right? But they are not explicitly excluded. That's why people are confused.

In summary, knowing the MCC is like half the equation. Still must check if it's included or excluded.

Wonder if anyone also being told by bank that Grabpay top up is under 7399? Or is under another (so it's wrong info by CSO)?

Apparently grab top up is 7399 but excluded...so CSO may tell you 7399 is excluded but in actual fact its only grab top up...so CSO themselves are confused due to grab top up having 7399. Ipaymy with insurance description shld be included as eligible spending.

iPaymy
TAX2020; 1.75% fee, til 31st Jul

Cardup
ML175TAX20 or MM175TAX20; 1.75% fee, til around 23 Aug

Both offers lower fees than AXS Pay+Earn right? no?

Where is the link for the change?

So this means for all visa card, not just UOB One visa card, right?

Based on sharing on the Grabpay card thread and telegram.

Also featured in milelion https://milelion.com/?p=75700

Should apply for all Visa.

AXS Pay + Earn can be used for monthly tax instalment, its most useful feature compared to the other 2.....
