My main card is BOC Family card. Suits me well as have rebate on hospital (have cap) which is great because have elderlies at home and need to go polyclinic and hospital frequently.

UOB One I use mainly for SP bill and Grab. But won't really miss it.
Hi, you may have to validate against the BOC terms and conditions, I dont think there is rebate (anymore) on hospital transactions.

I was billed AF on 31 May, it was shown on 1 June in the card account, I called in on 2 June to request waiver and 3 June the amount was 'credited' back into the account.

only difference this year is that it wasn't automated but had to speak to a 'live' CSO. previous years it was automated via phone menu.

Have been using it. If pay at hospital and polyclinic at counter mcc code is 8062 so can get 3% rebate from BOC family card. But if pay using Singhealth buddy different MCC code no rebate. So I always ask to pay at counter.

health buddy not counted under online spend which is also under the same 3% rebate group on boc family?

Got my AF waived instantly through the bank app.

check it out, there is a function there to cancel card or waive annual fee
thanks... I tried to navigate but didn't dig deep enough :ROFLMAO: could have saved some time speaking to the CSO. good that we can just do it over the app.

Requested for AF waiver over the app and was called by the CSO few days later saying that they will send in a new request for waiver. In the end, still didnt receive waiver and chatted with CSO using the UOB chat before finally getting a waiver the next day. Seems like spending more than 12k per year still does not mean that auto waiver will be granted now.

Even worse for Amex absolute, since the card was overpaid by a few cent, not even possible to request for waiver via the app. It just outright fails and says that there is outstanding payment. In the end, chatted with the CSO today via UOB chat to say I want to cancel and they asked the reason why. Told them that AF waiver unsuccessful and want to cancel, they replied that they sent in a manual request and it was approved on the spot.

When I paid using Singhealth app, BOC CSO say the MCC code is 8099 which is not eligible for min sum and rebate.

Hi hi.
If I pay SP bills via UOB ONE card, does it count towards the monthly qualifying spend (eg $500)? TIA

Pay SP bills get 1% extra rebate also. They advertise so big you didn't see ? Use the SP app, not AXS etc

Thank you both. Yup saw the advert; was worried that I could have missed out some T&C that makes it not part of qualifying spend

Just make sure you meet the min spend $500 on eligible spending (the SP bill is included as eligible spending). And must meet min spend for all 3 mths of your quarter.

Hi, does it make sense to use this card when spending on grab overseas? I'm thinking the cashback makes up for the extra charges, if grab transactions overseas still count?

i have not been able to waive the fee on appeal for 3yrs now.
maybe i spend too little about 1-1.5k per mth
just an update. i had a online chat and they finally waive the annual fee after i say i want to cancel the credit card.
today i receive a link asking me to share my experience but there is no selection for credit card waiver experience. seem like that don't want to hear people complaint.
https://www.uobgroup.com/uobgroup/contact-us/index.page?i_cid=personal-banking#ShareYourExperiences

i applied for citi cashback+ and will use this card for all my purchase.

I want to ask, if a UOB credit/debit card has 3 years waiver, then after the 4th year, you cancel that card.

After that, if you reapply for that card again, do you still get another 3 year waiver if they still have that?
