Just gotten back from speaking UOB CSO on why my rebates aren't credited. This is due to the fact that I changed my billing cycle to the start of every month aka end last day and start 1st day of the month. This makes my ending billing statement to be of same month e.g. latest is SEP 2022 instead of OCT 2022 previously. Hence my rebates will only be credited in by end of OCT statement in OCT 2022 statement. This is 1 month late crediting of rebates so I don’t recommend you guys to start your billing cycle on the first day of every month, instead end it on 2/3 and start 3/4 of every month to get your rebates credited in sooner

You’re welcome. This is my first time as well, in fact so far only UOB allows to change billing cycle to end and start on respective month. Other banks I tried only allow to end on 2nd (AMEX), 3rd (SCB). I believe UOB allow this because their rebates are not credited within the same month of billing cycle, for example their One card and Absolute cards

Does anyone know if there's UOB One CC Rebate for the following payments?

1) Hospital bills paid via HealthBuddy app
2) Retail transactions (i.e. not medication) from hospital pharmacy
3) Recurring payments to SP (applied via the SP app). I know single payments via SP app counts towards the rebate, but not sure if recurring payments count too.

Thanks!
1) yes
2) Is the system smart enaff to differentiate pharmacy payment between medications and retail spend? one MCC code for medicine and one for non medications? unlikely
3) yes

I think it's more that banks usually extend statement length, not shorten it.

Hey guys, anyone know if UOB able to request for a credit refund for overpaid balance? I know SCB and AMEX can request this inside their app, but for UOB I cannot find anything related. Thanks

I understand that BNPL MCC code is either 5399 and 5999, so does paying Atome under 5999 qualify for UOB one quarterly rebates? I can’t find 5399/5999 under their exclusion but will there be any hidden t&c for BNPL? Thanks

Does anyone know how it works when we request to change the statement cycle? I spoke to a CSO and she was not sure herself.
So my normal cycle ends in 12 oct and I asked to change it to end of the month. Does that means they will give me a short cycle 12 Oct to 31 Oct or there will be a long one from 12 Oct to 30 November before it goes into normal 30 day cycle?

Usually is the latter - they will extend to more than a full month and start a new month afresh.

Otherwise quite challenging to spend required amount in a shortened period of time.

long one. There can only be 1 statement in a calendar month.
