Even after the interest is waived, please check your statement subsequently. UOB system and CS are really screwed up.

I asked to change my statement cycle in Feb and I ended up with 2 statements in Feb although initially CS said the new cycle would only start in March. When UOB generated the 2nd statement for Feb, I was given 'late interest' for not paying the first statement. The due date for the first statement is actually 4 March.

UOB called me and demanded me to pay the first statement -although it was not even the due date yet- if I want to get my 'late interest' waived. So I made the payment on 1 March.

I thought everything was settled but 1 week later, I received 'late charge'. CS told me it was because I paid late for my February statement.

Funny how they keep blaming me for late payments when my payment arrangement is GIRO via UOB account. Left a feedback through their website to ask what is going on but no response until today.

If I'm you, I will pay all the outstanding "late" charges and slowly ensure UOB rebate back at subsequent months. You can't win the automated system. It is saying you ARE late. The people you spoke to do not seem to have the access or power to overwrite the system..

UOB credit card is really screwed up.

They can terminate the principal card without notice and yet allow the supplementary card holder to go on charging and they don't allow the points earned to be redeemed by the sup card holder :s22:

For that I decided not to have any dealing with the card or the bank.

The CS had access and could apply to waive the "late" charge since it was wrong and in the end he did it for me. He was just too lazy to check at the beginning and simply reading scripted answer. Only after I told him the details then he checked and "yea.. yea... I can see that.. I will apply for the waiver".

First make sure u know what is your qualifying quarter. You will get $50 rebate only if you spend min $500 (min 3 transactions) on qualified spending in all 3 statement months of the qualifying quarter.

Just got the card recently. Guess it's 11 March, 11 April and 11 May for me. Just wanted to make sure is it I have to make purchases between 1-11 April to qualify for the rebate also.

Better call in to check whether the qualifying quarter is really as what you thought, some people failed to get the rebate because they were mistaken about the quarter. Spending posted in 12 mar to 11 apr will be counted to the statement on 11 apr for the rebate.

Please do check your credit card statement, i was charged interest even when i pay my bills fully and on time every month.
I thought it was due to my cash advance charges but even when i did not use it, there are interest.
Feeling puzzled ,I called in to check and found out that a "system glitch" charged the interest to my balance even when i paid on time and fully.
The CSO say will backdate and waived it off for me.

Query on whether this "system glitch" will be fixed went unanswered but saying they will waive the interest charge for me.

FWIW, I just called UOB this morning, and was given some useful information on this card:

The "quarterly" rebate is not based on calendar quarter (my own assumption previously), but on a 3-month basis from the time you sign up, e.g. you sign up and get approved for the card in March, and the "quarterly" period for the $500 spend and associated rebate is March, April and May.

However, if you do not meet the minimum $500 spend in the first month, they will pro-rate the rebate accordingly still if you hit the $500 in each of the subsequent two months.

So in my case, I didn't meet the minimum spend in March, so no rebate and added interest for the ONE bank account in March, but as long as I hit $500 in April and May, I can still get the "quarterly" rebate for the card, and also the incremental interest in my ONE bank account in April and May.

More specifically the rebate on the card is based on amount spent as per statement generated in the 3 months of the quarter, but the incremental interest in ONE bank account is based on amount spent in calendar month. Some management needed to meet the required spending in both statement month and calendar month, or you may like to request to change the statement date to be end of month.

Yup. I also changed my statement to be end of month based on the feedback in the forum. :)

This will accordingly change the statement for all your other UOB cards also, which is easier to manage.

Anyone tried to add UOB ONE VISA to your MasterPass and unable to add? This error message happens after I've added the pin code sent to my phone.

1. I've tried adding other bank VISA cards, there wasn't any error adding.
2. I've also tried adding my UOB ONE VISA on browsers such as Chrome and Safari, the error persists.

What could be the possible reasons why I can't add UOB ONE VISA? :(

Actually have anyone wondered why does One account only allow UOB One VISA and UOB Direct Visa for the $500 spending, instead of any UOB Credit cards (master, amex, etc)? :s11:

Getting paranoid looking at the terms and conditions of the UOB one card... I wonder if UOB will deny me my rebates if I use it to top up my parent's Singtel prepaid card....
