Anyone paid telco bills got 3.3/5% rebate?
Confirm valid, I have been doing small payments to m1 to make up the exact amount to earn rebates.
Anyone paid telco bills got 3.3/5% rebate?
Hi all.
Just got my UOB One Card and Account, and seeking some clarification here if anyone knows the answer before I call the CSO(again)(already paiseh i call and ask so many questions)
So according to the CSO, my One Card's billing cycle starts on 12th and ends 11th of the following month. My One Account was created on 23rd May and I got my One Card on 1st June. Means to be applicable for the rebate(pro-rated as advised by the CSO), i have to spend 500 before 11th June.
Main Question:
My concern now is about the bonus interest for One Account; does it follow strictly to calendar month for the One Card, regardless of One Card bill cycle? Or does it take off the previous month's statement for the One Card?
Take for example this scenario: Since opening the account, spend 300 in May, then 200 in June. Therefore qualified for 1 of the 3 months for Rebate. But since its already considered spending 500, does that mean I can get the bonus interest for the One Account? Or need to spend another 200 in June before calendar month end to qualify for bonus interest?
Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance to any bro's answer!

please request to change billing to from 1st to last day of the month. if not v headache to calculate. As one acc leech on one card spending for the eligible interest. i would think your spending on the one card cycle affect the next interest of one acc.
as long as your one card billing period. u spend 500.
and how does spending 500 = spending for 3 mnths? 1st billing prorated, spend any amount. next 2 billing cycle u need to spend 500 each

1) If you want to get $50 quarterly rebate. You need min 5 transactions and min $500 posted (not only spend but must be posted to the card) by 11jun. Alternatively can skip the first statement month and have min 5 and min $500 transactions posting in the remaining 2 statement months to get prorated $33.33 rebate.
2) bonus interest for uob one account require min $500 posted transactions on the eligible uob crefit/debit card in calendar month. Dun quite understand the scenario you gave since you only got the uob card on 1 jun, so how you spend $300 in may? Anyway you can call to request the statement month for your card to be changed to be end of calendar month, so that it is easier to track the $500 spend for both rebate and interest

Thanks...bye, do they still give addiontal 2% for overseas spend or had removed?
I calculated around 3% forex fee, so 2k/mth overseas spend only gets us 5%-2%=3%, any other better cash rebate cards for overseas spend?
foreign currency transaction charge is 2.8% on UOB One card, if you're on the 5% quarterly rebate tier it's still alright
in general most cards that are doing 5% (or higher) rebates tend to be for a specific category so options are not plentiful
like family card most category rebate is 5% to 10% now but doesn't cover overseas spending explicitly
boc qoo10 card has unlimited 5% rebate (in qmoney) for overseas till dec. 2.5% forex fees
dbs visa debit card tagged to dbs multicurrency account has 5% rebate till aug. no forex fees. https://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/promotion/visa-debit-fx?pid=sg-dbs-pweb-home-heroblock-cards-promo-dbs-visa-fx-btnlearnmore
The debit visa need to link to multi currency account, so we have to convert to the destination currency first then can use the debit card, so I guess there will still be foreign conversion fee just before the spend, right?
no fees, the conversion rates similar to that at money changer or better.
most other credit cards incur fees on top of currency conversion.
Good if similar rates to money changer, only need to keep certain amount foreign currency before spend, cc more hassle free if they dun extend after Aug.
Thinking this month will DBS Ka Ching contactless 10% cash rebate promo better for overseas contactless transaction?(must be no atm withdraw)
Yes 10 charhi,
does sp service payment by credit card over counter counted as $500 spending to get cc rebates and bonus interest of uob one account?
TIA!
Hi all, for those of you who had changed your statement date to the end of each month instead, is it changed to the last day of each month, or the 1st of each month?
The CSO over the phone told me can only change to last day of each month. Cannot choose 1st day. If its based on last day of each month, does it change from 30 to 31 or even 28 or 29 (case of February) or is it a common date regardless of the number of days?
Finally, during the transition month of changing, does it mean you have more days to clock the card spend?
For example, supposed my last statement date is 23 May and I'm changing the statement date to last day of month, will the card spend for bonus interest be based from 24 May to 30 June? Or 1 June to 30 June?
