UOB one card

Just got charged annual fees on 31 Aug with post date 1 Sep. I called in today and got instant fee waiver. Do I still have to pay for the annual fees first then let UOB refund back the waiver? My statement is calendar month. Just don't want to caught with financial charges. Anyway, always a good experience with UOB on fee waiver. Same with POSB. Only bad experience is with OCBC.

Anyone knows how UOB calculates the additional rebates? For the last quarter, based on my spending on grabs and SP Group Bills, i really thought my additional rebate will be much more.

Don't you have to spend at least $500 each statement (not calendar) month of the quarter to get any rebate? The above only shows you spent $270.88 in July. Also you have to make at least 5 transactions each statement month to qualify for any rebate.

if refund from merchants, yes need to spend another $100 to cover up.
if cashback/reward from UOB, no need. your spending is not affected.

good thing you got the refund early and make up for it, not like if it happens near end of the month or into the following month, then they will let u enjoy the bonus interest in your account for few days...

Last day of a statement month AFTER the quarter where there is bill to be offset.

I'm currently on recurring credit card deduction for my monthly insurance premium, having a due date of 13th every month.

If I were to pay my premium through Cardup on the 5th of the month, would they double charge me?

Depends if the insurer process the Cardup payment before the recurring payment is made. Anyway if there is double charge u can ask for a refund.

Wah... take so long to get this card cancelled. Raised the request on 27th Sep, because i heard recently they won't entertain annual fee waiver requests anymore. I have nothing outstanding when i made the request on 27th Sep. Until now still processing. Not a simple on off switch meh?
