When I pay by SamsungPay, usually simplyGo posted on transaction date +4 days. I have one record pay by Gpay. Transaction date 31-Dec, posted on 5-Jan.

thanks. i figured it's going to take up to maybe +4 working days max for them to drag posting the transaction. mine just finally showed up (transact 23 Feb Tue, posted 27 Feb Sat). that is really... slow.

on another note, UOB shortchanged me (again..) for the 5% additional rebate for spending @ cold storage, shopee, guardian for my last quarter. very troublesome have to keep writing in to them to 'complain'.

your case not settled? actually I'm wondering if my issue might be related to Shopee as well, although the missing additional rebate doesn't tally with the Shopee purchase.

just to check, for your case, they claimed that the Shopee transaction (with CAPS) is not eligible for the 3.33%/5% rebate or the 5% additional rebate (or both)? which rebates did you lose out on?

Is it possible for the shopee's txn after 16 Dec 2020?

I noticed that the Description of the txn before 16 Dec is Shopee - Singapore SINGAPORE, after 16 Dec the desc of txn is either SHOPEE SINGAPORE DP SINGAPORE or SHOPEE SINGAPORE MP SINGAPORE, and all of them just make up the differences to my additional rebate received yesterday.

idk... all i know is, they publicise so big that shopee is eligible for the extra 5%. it's just poor marketing and handling. looks like here already got two 'victims' - zenical and myself. are you the 3rd? sounds like you also have discrepancies with the additional rebate based on your last sentence.

I chatted with their UOB digital assistant. The CSO said they are in the midst of investigating the issue and will credit back the shopee rebate. We should receive an SMS when they do so.

So, this is already a known issue on their end it seems. Just need to wait for them to rectify the issue.

Let us know the outcome. They gave me ******** reason saying the mcc is shopee pay although it is not shopee pay.

this reminds me of a similar perpetual mistake made by standard chartered on the use of the ez auto-reload for their credit card. in their tnc, it was printed clearly that auto-reload using cc is eligible for their 1.5% rebate. but every month the statement will exclude those transactions and end up every month i had to write in/call to their CSO to have it manually credited back. i think i did that for like 4, 5 months in a row until the bank decided to terminate ez re-load feature in the card since Jan this year. (and i stop using the card since)

tl;dr when it comes to rectifying mistakes in the system it is quite appalling how primitive and manual they are. won't be surprised they will also be doing manual crediting for those who bother to 'complain'... they must think that most customers don't bother to check!

worse is when their CSO is also half-baked in their knowledge and understanding of the products and try to give lame excuses or wrong facts to try to cover up the mistakes (like what zenical mentioned, accusing customers of using shopeepay when it is not).

:s13: my annual fee is due soon. I shall hold off and see if they waive first.

uob doesnt want to waive my card annual fee. what is the criteria for waiving? i spend ard 300-400 a month. never reach 500 for quite a few months already as i cut down my expense. do i still need to pay the annual fee tt has been charged in my latest statement?

if you cancel card, no need pay annual fee. To play safe, need to check to make sure the fee is removed after you cancelled the card

Just cancel lor, i also find it a hassle to maintain certain amount for at least 3 mths for the rebate given that I tend to adjust my spending depending on current promo of other cards too.
