after the changes, no point hitting $2k. might as well just aim 500.
if my spending month is Apr-Jun, i wonder how this works? still can spend 2k on apr and may?
june spending how

Maybe
2x($300/3) + 1x($200/3) = $266.66

for Tier 3 ($2000) spending tier, will be reduced to 3.33%.

"W.e.f. 1 May 2022, get up to 10% cashback on your bus and train MRT rides with SimplyGoNEW, Dairy Farm International, Grab, Shopee Singapore and SP transactions. Your UOB One Credit Card cashback for minimum S$2,000 spend will also be revised to up to 3.33% (S$200 quarterly cashback) with effect from the statement month of July 2022 (i.e. your spending in June). To find out more about your new benefits and changes, here."

the FAQ site currently not working, awaiting for more detailed explanation how this affects everyone's upcoming quarter as it mentions taking effect from July 2022 (June spending).

This is bad, I need to revise my spending plan.

Considering the cashback is on quarterly basis, it is already one of the most difficult card to use. This nerf will be a killer. If cardup is excluded I probably quit both One account and One card.

Has anyone confirm with the bank how they calculate for those April to June or May to July? Will it be 'prorated' month by month or entire quarter will be treated as 3.33%?

Thanks to you guys, I didn't know they announced this change... Belonged to May-Jul quarter.

Think most people will switch to $500 monthly spend just to get bonus interest if they need iPayMy in hitting $2k ....

ipaymy is 1.85% for recurring tax. the rebate is 3.33%
why would anyone change if they already have no problem with 2k spend. Ipaymy inclu or otherwise ??

Chill, wait for them to update the link to the FAQ which is currently not working. It should be explained in details, this is not the first time they did some changes to One card tnc which usually will be explained fully in FAQ

Not sure if worth the additional effort of calculating and keeping track of spending to $2k (I always exceed to $2.2k ish), versus using something like cashback+instarem (2.1%). It’s around $20/mth difference, the mental load of keeping track, not sure if I should just spare myself from it

ppl use ipaymy to pay tax and arbitrage on the 5% rebate, 2k per month is very easy. with the nerf i think it will cause churn because there is a better alternative to paying tax than the 3.33%-1.8% now.

i think still no better alternative for cardup car loan payments unless they exclude cardup

Actually I read the website, the 10% is still there just that it's 3.33% + 6.67% instead of 5% + 5% if we spend $2k?

"Cardmembers who have been awarded the S$100 or S$50 quarterly cashback will get an additional 5% cashback and cardmembers who have been awarded $200 quarterly cashback will get an additional 6.67% cashback on the total Dairy Farm International such as Cold Storage, CS Fresh Giant, Guardian, 7-Eleven, Marketplace, Jasons, Jasons Deli, Grab (excludes mobile wallet top-ups), Shopee Singapore transactions (excludes ShopeePay), SimplyGo (bus and train rides)NEW and UOB Travel (excludes online and flight only bookings) and additional 1.67% cashback on Shell transactions successfully charged and posted to the Card Account in each statement month."

So for those who spend $500 or $1000 the cashback is 3.33% + max 5% but for those who continue to hit $2000 they can get 3.33% + max 6.67%... the only thing is only certain purchase can get 6.67%.

Is my understanding correct? But overall for those who have been using cardup or ipaymy I think the cashback will still drop since they do not qualify for 6.67%.

Seems like regardless which tier you spend
$500 or $1000 or $2000
it will be 3.33% cash back
just that if you spend $2000
you get more cash back from shopee at 6.67% instead of 5% etc

Now I will just $500 ipaymy my tax to hit the 3.33%
instead of $2000 now
leave the rest for other cards

Seems like only effective July 1, 2022 for $2K spend category.

“Your UOB One Credit Card cashback for minimum S$2,000 spend will also be revised to up to 3.33% (S$200 quarterly cashback) with effect from the statement month of July 2022 (i.e. your spending in June). To find out more about your new benefits and changes….”
