UOB one card

Seems like no one discussing this. Maybe no one track their rebates like me.. haha

My last quarter statement, the additional cash rebate was significantly reduced. Did a trace and realised it is due to Shopee - specifically Shopee supermarket transactions not being given the additional cash rebate of 5% (on top of the 3.33% for $1000 monthly spend).

I dug further and also found that the MCC for normal Shopee tx and Shopee Supermarket tx are different as compared to the MCC in previous quarter. Previous quarter ALL Shopee tx are under Marketplaces. Now, Shopee supermarket is under Grocery Stores.

Contacted UOB and the credit card specialist was also stunned why the rebate it was missing. Since 1 Apr until now no follow up from them even after calling a few times, damn fed up.

I got a feeling soon they will exclude Shopee Supermarket from the additional rebate - similiar with Shopee Pay top ups.

How to know which are supermarket transactions? I only seems to buy once from shopee mart but then in my statements, there is a mix of shopee Singapore and shopee Singapore mp.

That's odd, cos I check those, they are not the shopee supermarket transactions I made... While the shopee supermarket one I made, iwlts under shopee singapore.

need to use physical card tap at uob$ merchant then press option to redeem

I tried this but doesn’t work whwre is the option to redeem button?? Couldn’t find it on the app or anywhere.
Even the merchant also doesn’t know what is UOB$…

Any update on your end for those shopee transaction? The cso called to say she will help me appeal, I don't get what is there to appeal if its under shopee and they obviously miscalculated

Merchant specific~ so if Chicha, then you must be at Chicha to offset the bill. It is auto and doesnt matter with physical card or not.

i been chasing them since 1 Apr. Many rounds of scolding until today someone finally call me back claiming next round of rebates they will credit the missing rebates to me. Also asked them if they have fixed the problem since Shopee changed the MCC code for Shopee supermarket txs, and they said it should be fixed. See my next statement still will have such issue or not coz i also have supermarket tx in my current quarter which just ended today.

but honestly on their track record, i doubt anything would be done and next round of rebate most likely will hv missing rebates again for shopee supermarket txs.

i think if really happen again, i going to write in to FIDReC. So sick of keep playing cat and mouse with them.
