i found out the alert for UOB one is at $500 and above transaction.
to set alert for lower sum, i have to obtain the forms at the branch and write in..
Cannot be done on mobile app. Can do it at browser internet banking.

Left panel, select Account Services --> Manage alerts. Then select Credit/Cashplus/Debit Card.

Change amounts to 0.01.

While you are at this, go through everything and set your alerts for everything - ATM, fund transfers etc.

Just got a fraudulent transaction on UOB debit card within 2 months of getting the card. 1 USD / 1.38 SGD deducted by the merchant THE CUTTING BOARD COMP :s15:

I have own different bank cards for more than a decade and first time encountered fraudulent transaction.

Think better to ask for replacement of normal ATM card instead of debit card.

Get credit card for meeting UOB one bonus interest.

That's why it is important to make sure alerts set to 0.01. Scammers probably hoping some people did not change the default alert amount.

After the small test of US$1 goes through they will go for the big kill.

Normal with UOB, just report and they will compensate you when amount is small and issue a new card to u.

it happened to me once many years ago! Now I dun activate :ROFLMAO: I use the account for special purpose only.

Ntuc gift card. Can pass to family members

Or go to SP customer service at Toa Payoh and pay your SP bill in advance using their payment kiosk.

Pay your Telco in advance.

Get supplementary card and pass to family member who spends (for future months)
Payment to m1 via app using uob one card as payment. This will still count for the spending requirement right? Is there any new exclusion for this? Thanks!

For excluded MCC which do not qualify to earn any Quarterly Cashback, Additional Cashback or Base Cashback, are they excluded for computation of Minimum Sum as well? Are they excluded from minimum spending of S$500 from one's UOB ONE card in order for extra interest under UOB ONE account? Thanks

Yes typically if MCC is excluded from cashback it's also excluded as an eligible transaction and thus it will not contribute to the minimum spending required.

The only exception is insurance payments made on a recurring basis on selected credit or debit cards are included for minimum spending required but excluded from cashback.

I wish they have a tracker for the UOB One card rebate eligible spend... to avoid any mishap where one thought that the spending was eligible but isn't from certain retailers...

I'm aware of that interest tracker but just concerned whether it also works for one card rebates as well other than exclusion of insurance.

The only difference in the exclusion lists in the TNCs for uob one account and uob one card is in the insurance part. Also uob one card goes by statement month, uob one account by calendar month, need to change statement date to end of month then should be able to use the tracker le.

Uob hotline is really crap
Wanted to call and check if my transactions are valid for the rebates and the call is always picked up someone who couldn't help and need to transfer my call to another department despite me picking the right options in the phone banking
