Abit confused on the quarterly cashback. There's 3 different amount tiers (minimum spend 500/1000/2000).

What happens if I make 800 eligible spend? Get cashback based on $500 and $300 is forfeited? If so how does the system know which rate of cashback to apply to the $500 since different vendors have different cashback rates

Also what happens if say I spend 500, 800, 1200 for 3 consecutive months for a quarter. Which cashback tier is the quarter qualified for?

it is based on the lowest tier in the quarter .... in your case of 500/800/1200, your base quarterly cashback will be 3.33% of 500*3 = $50.

There’s Cashback calculator in UOB website. You enter how much you spend in each vendor, it will show you how much additional cashback (in addition to the quarterly cashback) you’ll get

Hi, i received a UOB ONE CASH REBATE BILL REDEMPTION of only 61cents on 31 Jan?! My quarter is from Nov-Jan, i definitely spent more than $500 per month. Shouldn't it be $50? Can I check if there's any more quarterly cashback coming in or is this the final amount? I read past posts and it seems that the enhanced cashback (e.g., Shopee), will come at end of this month, February? I'm more concerned of the base quarterly cashback of 61cents :(

It seems like your quarter is from Oct to Dec, not Nov to Jan. Check again with UOB customer service. Most likely you did not hit $500 eligible spending for Oct 2023. My quarter is from Oct to Dec, and my rebates were credited on 31st Jan.

In your credit card statement you will see all 3 transactions as follows (on the last day of the following month after your quarter ends) if your spending were eligible transactions for rebates:
UOB One Cash Rebate Bill Redemption - Quarterly Cashback
One Card Additional Rebate - Additional cashback
One Card Enhanced Rebate - Enhanced Cashback

Thanks for your reply.
My Oct statement exceed $500 too and the Oct statement itself indicated my qualifying period is from Nov to Jan.
As the Jan statement is not yet out, I shall wait a few days more.

UOB still owe me some 'peanuts' rebate dating back to May and Aug 2023.

they really like to drag their feet. said last month that they will credit the rebate at the next statement... but till now, it's not reflected yet.

I think the 61 cents rebate came from some month(s) in 2023 where it did not meet the min. $500 spend. they will still give a base rebate (can't remember what's the %) at the end of each year (or is it the month where annual fee is paid). something like that.

update: found from their tnc...

“Base Cashback” means the cashback awarded at the end of the statement months between January to December in a calendar year calculated at 0.03% of the total Card Transactions amount in that year.

3.6. The Base Cashback will be credited to the Card Account in the month of February of the following calendar year if no Quarterly Cashback has been awarded for any Quarter in a calendar year.

Quite pleased to see some enhanced + additional rebates on top of the normal rebates.

Any idea when they will end ?

think it's best to avoid any government-affiliated purchases.. private merchants would be the safest.

Anyone recently bought items from Shopee Supermarket seller and paid via credit card but the transaction on the credit card statement shows as “SHOPEEPAY PRIVATE LIMITED SINGAPORE SG” instead of the usual “Shopee Singapore SINGAPORE SG”?

I ordered the same exact item from Shopee Supermarket and paid via the same credit card, the order on 12th Feb 2024 the transaction shows “Shopee Singapore SINGAPORE SG” and the order on 15th Feb 2024 the transaction shows “SHOPEEPAY PRIVATE LIMITED SINGAPORE SG”. How is it possible when I don’t even have ShopeePay enabled on my Shopee account? :s11:

I'm having the same issue. Not sure if the spend will be recognised as eligible spend.
