Just called the customer service...
my card 3 month period is 13 Nov - 12 Dec, 13 Dec - 12 Jan, 13 Jan - 12 Feb.

this is the first time i sign the card
the card came at almost end of Nov.

I clocked $500 2 transactions, $300 3 transactions, $300 transactions.
I called up the customer service.

they told me i only 2 times in the first month.

Haha, yeah, need at least 3 transactions. I also kena once where I only had two transactions for that month and it was above 1500. Got a big fat zero...

call them and ask them to waive the 3 transactions requirement. if first time they will.
my experience is don't bother to aruge with/explain to them, just ask for waiver. much easier and straightforward and most of the times they will do it on a "good-will" basis for whatever u are asking for.

For new card holders, if you have no confident of hitting 3 transactions $300. Dont spend on first month.

Just spend on second and third month, it will be pro-rated and you will receive $20 cashback.

This card NEVER earn $UNI under any circumstances, you only get the rebates.

Anyone knows how to obtain the $40 or $80 (can't remember) which was offered with I first sign up? Seems like it's not reflected in my first month statement?

Anyone knows if the additional 2% rebate for overseas spend has any prerequisites like 'must qualify for 3.33% rebate by spending $xxx over the quarter' first?

Or is it a clear cut 2% rebate regardless of how much you spent overseas (physically) and regardless of whether you qualify for the 3.33% rebate by spending over the quarter...

2% is quite a good clear cut rebate for trips and small luxury items like bags since the rebate cap is at $5000

No sub conditions, just 2% net. Its not that great if no 3.33% but well better than nothing if you don't have a better card to spend.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the lousy foreign exchange rate used by the bank eat up, if not worse than the mere 2% rebate they give out?
