just gotten the UOB One Card this month. logged onto my ibanking account and was surprised to see that there was no option to pay my telco bill with the card (i do not have any savings account with UOB)
called the CSO and was shocked to be told that I am unable to pay bills with my credit card via ibankingkind of funny since I am able to do so with all the other banks...
so how do I get about to paying my bills (StarHub, Singtel, SP services)? anyone able to advise?
**Sorry if this question has been asked before**
Uob not the most advanced. Exactly, i don't know why anybody pay their bills thru ibanking website.
UOB is one of the most technological backward bank in Singapore together with ANZ. Poor ibanking website/app, no e-statement for credit cards until now. Really crappy.
despite being backward,UOB has this ONE card which provides basic rebate 3.333% which is very safe to the bank i.e. won't lose much money in the worst case and will most likely earn money in most cases. The mathematician behind gets this magic number right on the dot!
this white card will probably outlast any other gimmick cards for years.

Personally, I think this is a very safe card to get $30 rebate per quarter so long as you link your telco bills, utilities bill, town council etc and it should hit $300 per month easily. What's more, UOB has a few tie-ups for interest-free instalments, so all the better!
There must be a reason why Maybank Platinum Visa has mirrored this particular rebate system![]()

Not really.. At first I thought so too, because for the first year of using this card I had trouble hitting even the minimum $300 and did not hit a single quarterly cash rebate because I wasn't really used to the idea of using credit cards.![]()
Then I realised that I can just set up my insurance premiums to be paid with this card (I have 4 prudential policies which mean 4 transactions) and viola! At least $30 a quarter now. I also included my Singtel bill to be paid with the card and now hit $500 without even charging anything else.
Of course logic says the extra $200 charge is wasted if I don't hit the $800 mark, so either try to charge another $300, or move the $200 over to another card I suppose. Although I still haven't found another worthy card to charge the remainder to so I try to just hit the $800 mark.![]()

Yeah, having multiple cards seems too complicated especially if you have to remember when each card has hit a rebate limit and need to change to another card. And then having to remember if that next card has enough to hit a qualifying minimum spending.
But at the end of the day... So far for cashback wise, I still think ONE seems to be the most practical. The fiancé has a DBS Live Fresh that got him only $80-$100 worth of vouchers (Only after a discounted rewards points rate too!) after he spent more than 20k in a span of about 2 years. And that. Is. Just. Sad.
If I take that 20+k spendings and hit $800 each month for that span of 2years I could have gotten $640 after 2 years! *shakes head*
I tooootally sound like a ONE ambassador, haha!

yup.. data entry effort and excel skills.so the creativity part is make sure one card one use and all the numbers fit in perfectly every month. It can be done given some effort.
or maybe someone from UOB who created the card joined Maybank. hahaPersonally, I think this is a very safe card to get $30 rebate per quarter so long as you link your telco bills, utilities bill, town council etc and it should hit $300 per month easily. I read somewhere that you can pay Prudential premiums online via PruAccess but not sure if its considered online transaction by Frank. Not really.. i personally feel pivot table is very useful.

If it is not, you'll still get $13.50 of rebates each month [$300 (insurance) * 0.5% and $200 (telco) * 6%]. But more hassle for you because you'll need to make monthly payments with your Frank card and to meet the $500 monthly transaction.
no need lar, just a reminder on your phone, min work, efficiency very important!
What kind of reminder do you have exactly? Hard to track spendings leh..
