Don't think so, my UOB One less than $4000 spend a year, only meet $300 a month. I have been getting fee waivers without asking. UOB and DBS are very generous with fee waivers, usually no issues getting waivers even with no spend.

Hmm weird then cause my ONE card always over 7.2k/yr but I also hold a Woman's card (which I've never used) and a JCB (which I use occasionally since last year), and I've never been charged annual fees for the Woman's card but my JCB card was charged an annual fee last year which they waived off upon my calling in, no questions asked.

But end of the day as long as they waive off, I'm not gonna think so much lar.. :s13:

UOB said my 1st quarter starts from apr. I have submitted my recurring payment forms but all take effect may billing cycle.

So i will need to some how spend $300 in apr so i get my $30 after apr-may-june.

Does anyone know if its possible to use UOB One card to pay $300 credit to my Paypal account & then in future if i make any online purchase i pay via paypal (assuming the online store accepts paypal of course) by deducting from this $300 credit.

That should go towards my apr spending of $300 right? After all for One card its any type of spending and no one said excluding payment to paypal.

Or would it be easier just to buy $300 worth of Fairprice vouchers & use them myself? Lol!

It is not possible to put $ into paypal from credit card- instead (when linked) paypal will deduct $ from cc upon payment

also u may need to be aware of (1st time issued card) from http://www.uob.com.sg/assets/pdfs/one_card_full_tnc.pdf:

2.6. In the initial Quarter when a Principal Cardmember is first issued a Card, if there is no more than three Statements in total for that Quarter and: (a) if the minimum criteria specified in Clause 2.4 above are only met in both the last two Statement Periods in that initial Quarter, the Principal Cardmember will still be eligible to receive two-thirds of the relevant Quarterly Cash Rebate specified in Clause 2.4 above; and (b) if the minimum criteria specified in Clause 2.4 above is only met in the last Statement Period in that initial Quarter, the Principal Cardmember will still be eligible to receive one-third of the relevant Quarterly Cash Rebate specified in Clause 2.4 above.

You do not need to force spend, the first month will be pro-rated as long as the next 2 months you spend $300, $800 or $1500 consistently.

My first month expenditure was less than 300...2nd month more than 1500...3rd month also more than 1500...total rebate for the quarter was 100...

Fair enough for me cos my first month only left a few days before the month ended...
