Hmmm okie thats what im thinking too. I think cimb might be better becos its lifetime free membership. But its simple card with 0.6% rebates i think. Maybank i think will still charge annual fee if yoy dont hit certain spending?
not really read that there is 3.8% if pay by visa paywave.

folks, i got confused by the CSO and i thought might as well check here..

my rebate was credited on 30 sep. i thought my new cycle should be
oct, nov, dec.
to confirm, i called 2 different CSO but both said different things.
one said my new cycle is from
nov, dec, jan, but the other one said
dec, jan feb.

considering i my latest rebate credited on 30 sep, what should be my new cycle?

This cycle must have been tampered with.
Assuming this is indeed September statement and remember that rebate is credited in the fourth month.

Therefore, the qualifying period is June, July, August and the new cycle will be December, January, February.

Working backwards, is the card expiry date 06/19?

Or 12/XX, 03/XX or 09/XX?

The rebate may come in at a later month if no spending is made on the 4th month

For this One card, assume I spent overseas in USD, which is equivalent to $100 SGD, but there is like 2.5% foreign transaction fee, in total there's 102.5 SGD. I wonder whether this $2.5 counted as $500 tier or not?
Jus tk note overseas addtional 2% rebate has ceased.

It's 01/17. Should be Oct to Dec right..
Strange huh..kns now I dun dare to spend on this card due to the new tier requirements and conflicting statements from their cso.

Maybe this is indeed the anomaly where the expiry month does not match the card opened month.

i did. but i was advised by cso not to bring forward to within the same month.

ie. if your statement is due on 6th oct (paying soon), do not bring forward to 26th oct (not paid yet) from 7th nov. he say card department may get confused if there is two statements in one month (6 oct, 26 oct), thereby disrupting the next quarter cos they cant overlap two quarters (although i wonder why cannot?).

i am not sure if uob confused they themselves if u did the other way, postponing to another month. ie if your statements falls on 26th sep (paid) and 26th oct (not yet paid), u postpone from 26 oct to 3rd nov. u wont have two statements in one month, but u will have no statements in oct, dunno if as simple as that, will they confuse themselves?

New applicant and just receive the card last month. just saw I was billed the membership fee of $128.40 on 2nd oct. Do I need to call in for fee waiver or it's should be automatically waive?
