to make things simplier....

If you want to get your rebates then you cannot "today spend 200, then tml pay back" for the month rebate is due to be credited to your account. UOB will not credit the rebate. It's silly but it's their rule.

UOB will tally your spends ( debit) for the tier spend.
so if u spend 500 within your bill cycle, u qualify for the rebate ( provided u do that for the next 2 months for the qualifying quarter)

if you pay 500 the next day, your debit still remains 500 although the nett is 0.
so u r still entitle to the rebate.

i hope i uds your qns correctly:s13::s13::s13:

Two diff ans? Hmmmm.. For uob i nt sure, but other bank is ok to do so .

both answers CORRECT.

Entitled DOES NOT mean they will credit it to your account. If your nett is 0 for the crediting month, UOB will KIV crediting you till the next quarter. You still get your entitled rebates, just that they will keep for you first :s13::s13::s13:

I assume you understand that the rebate is based on posted transactions that sum up to be more than the tiered amount (think $800 for your case) in all 3 statement months of the qualifying quarter? For your case, the rebate earned in the quarter will be used to offset the bill generated for the 4th month statement. If you don't see the rebate, you may like to call in to enquire

Are you talking about the bonus interest for Uob one savings account? The website explained quite clearly. Just to highlight the main gist, you need spend at least $500 on the Uob one card (or visa debit card) for the bonus interest. Either make 3 payment from the uob one saving account using GIRO or credit your pay to the account for higher interest package. Interest earned is tiered depending on the amount saved.

I suppose the more confusing part tends to be the interest about being split according to saving tiers. And that's the gooood part. :s13:

oh...i was confused for the amount to be spent and the crediting of my salary into the account.

Lets say i did not credit my salary, did not spend 500 on the card per month or 3 giro payments. My interest is 1% per yr

No, you will get only base interest of 0.05% per annual.

Spending $500 on the card in the calendar month only entitles you for lower bonus interest package

Spending $500 on the card in the calendar month + (Credit salary or 3 giro payment), entitles you for the higher bonus interest package

The amount of interest earned is tiered depending on the amount of savings you have. Effective interest range from 1.5% to 2.43% for the higher bonus interest package. You can use the calculator provided for better understanding http://www.uob.com.sg/personal/deposits/chequeing/one_account.html?s_cid=sem

Hi guys,

I'm a bit confused about the quarter periods. I applied for my card in August, but only received it in September. The card expiry is August 2020. What are my qualifying quarters? Does it start in August or September? If it's the former, how can I get the max rebates if I am unable to spend in August due to the card not having arrived yet?

Thanks.

Your qualifying quarter is Aug, Sep, Oct. If you spend the tiered amounts for both the statements generated in Sep and Oct, you receive 2/3 of the tiered rebate. If you spend the tiered amount for the statement generated in Oct you receive 1/3 of the tiered rebate.

Eg

Aug 0, Sep 0, Oct 500, rebate = 1/3*50 = $16.66
Aug 0, Sep 500, Oct 500, rebate = 2/3*50 = $33.33
Aug 0, Sep 0, Oct 1000, rebate = 1/3*100 = $33.33
Aug 0, Sep 500, Oct 1000, rebate = 2/3*50 = $33.33
Aug 0, Sep 1000, Oct 500, rebate = 2/3*50 = $33.33
Aug 0, Sep 1000, Oct 1000, rebate = 2/3*100 = $66.66
Aug 0, Sep 0, Oct 2000, rebate = 1/3*300 = $100
Aug 0, Sep 500, Oct 2000, rebate = 2/3*50 = $33.33
Aug 0, Sep 1000, Oct 2000, rebate = 2/3*100 = $66.66
Aug 0, Sep 2000, Oct 2000, rebate = 2/3*300 = $200
