seems like my win8.1 retail key was migrated to become a win10 key.

my partial product key matches my win8.1 key

Can you downgrade back to Win 8.1 using the old key if your programs are not compatible with Win 10?

How to show this info? The rearm count means can activate 1001 times?

This is a bit weird. I thought Full Packaged Product means retail? Is Microsoft giving us free upgrades to retail? :s22:

run slmgr /dlv from cmd to see detailed info.

Is anyone else hating the direction desktop OS are heading towards? Each version of windows seems to be getting more and more tablet like. I really can't stand the functionality of how the programs are now becoming more like how apps on mobile devices operate.

U can uninstall the apps and narrow down the start bar. the rest should looks like your legacy OS.

It's fine IMO. The only part that is 'mobile-like' are the tiles. It's a very minor part of the OS that I'm not forced to use. The major functionality feels as similar to me as vista... Desktop, folder views, file/folder management, control panel, utilities etc, all very familiar still.

matter of getting used to it, tiles are good for tagging my work essentials on start menu. I dont like to pin too many stuffs on task bar.

Yeah, which is why I think the implementation is fine. You like it, use it. Don't like it, don't use.

I used it for awhile, then I found that I preferred to press the Windows key and type the app name to launch the app quickly without needing to navigate with the mouse :D
