Upgrading to Windows 10

I played Eurotruck Sim 2, the game seems to not render properly in Windows 10. Looks like a compatibility issue of the game. Sometimes I will get random triangular polygons rendered on the road, especially when cars drive by me during the morning or evening (rendering issue with sunshafts settings, perhaps?). Need to disable a lot of settings to reduce the occurences of the random polygons.

Yups. I suspect it may be a win8/win10 issue. Game wasnt developed for beyond win7 in the first place.

yes, I rather wait and see than upgrade to win10 now. win7 still usuable and very stable, no point upgrading now~

You can upgrade to Win 10 and downgrade back if you don't like Win 10

Left click the volume icon at the bottom right, nothing comes up, need to restart com for the pop up to appear.

When searching programmes in the search bar, left click the programme doesnt start, need to spam click many times for it to register.

Those on w7/8.1 if no urgency, dont upgrade first. Let the bugs get ironed out.

Yup, its impossible to not install that driver isnt it.. Windows update will ram it down your throat.

Anyway the problem here is not game crash, its how im not able to end task, saving me a restart. I used to be able to end task in w7 almost all of the time

I have no problems with the game rendering. No noticeable decreases in performance. running all maxed, 400% scaling, 1080p

Strange. My volume icon is as responsive as before. Also no problems with search. About the only issue i have is with my hp printer driver which could not be installed by windows update. But no problem installing win8.1 version and it's running fine

Chrome hang while loading hwz forum just now in the evening causing cpu running at 99%, now no problem. Edge did not hang but cpu spike for a while.

No sure is it chrome fault or with hwz forum?

In my case, download and install KB3081424 works.

With Win 10 Pro, I can defer non-security updates, including Nvidia driver updates.

You can install Process Explorer. It works much better than Task Manager for ending tasks.

Volume icon and Start menu programmes work fine for me.

Follow online tip to configure windows update, how it did not block the cumulative update. Change the settings back to "Not Configured", windows update advanced option still have the 'Some settings are managed by your organisation' red words on top.

Anyone know how to remove the red words?

Heard others said was memory leak issue. Use firefox better...

There's another way to prevent windows update from downloading updates automatically, but it only works if u r on wifi or mobile data. Set your Internet connection to metered, so windows thinks ur Internet has a download cap and won't download on it

For those using ethernet, can't set to metered mode unfortunately..
