i am going december to nyc first, than i fly to lax, self drive to las vegas, than back to los angeles for shopping.. from lax go back to sg, thats the plan..so far..

by US standard its near.. anything U can reach in a day say under 8hrs by car is near. fly is like under 2hrs, its just a 2hr longer drive than Vegas

Agreed! Things in NYC are cheaper! At least for me it's generally SGD15-40 cheaper than prices you'd get in Singapore.

Better bring more warm clothing cos its going to be cold in Dec at the falls. Oso some attractions like maid of the mist is closed in winter i believe.

But you might be lucky and see the falls frozen

Great! An old Victorian house which was on need of restoration repairs at some parts. Creaky stairs up to bedrooms and a old gas stove (never seen one before). I liked it and it didn't bother me.

Everything was good except the fact that I can't get how you guys still use two knobs (one for hot and one for cold) to get your water to the desired temperatures.

It was indeed safe at the part I stayed. Coming home at 2:30am on the first night :O

Maid of the most iirc close in fall already.
This yr it's was frozen jan and feb iirc. Dec will be extremely lucky if can catch partially frozen.

Usually winter season is low peak period, you can fly to Washington DC for about $1.1k on SV. Only problem is the long layover.

appple product is cheapest in HK because no tax

you can buy and ship to your hotel just remember to put the check in date beside your name, as much info as possible and take note diff states has different sales tax, for example in las vegas its lower sales tax by a little than Los angeles.. so even if i were to pump gas at las vegas, its always cheaper than in los angeles

hmm... really depends
ipad air2 in HK is HKD$3888 or sgd$640, USA is usd$399+tax of say 10% its still sgd$560.
mac book air HKD$6688 (sgd$1100 ) vs USD$899 ( sgd$1260 with tax )


as for gas there are other taxes not just sales tax. anyway.. gas in Cali always high.. want cheap gas go TX!
