1) I have a question on the trip to Yosemite to Deathvalley area, I understand it is a long drive to Vegas, is it possible to just stop by and skim deathvalley and continue our drive to LV? I have many concerns on this day as the drive is really long.
Yosemite to Death Valley is already an eight-hour drive; it's going to be 6pm already by the time you get there, and you'll be ready to stop for the night. You can't go Yosemite-Death Valley-Las Vegas in a single day and keep your sanity.
Book a room at the Furnace Creek Ranch; stop there for the night; then explore Death Valley the next morning and head to Vegas in the afternoon.
2) the drive from GC to LA is really long too, I have delegated one day for the drive. probably we will start early in the morning and stop by some of the attraction you mention inside [Antelope Canyon, Meteor Crater, the Hoover Dam, the Valley of Fire] before reaching LA, possible?
C'mon, mate, look at a map. Antelope Canyon is two hours the wrong way (north-east) from Grand Canyon Village; Meteor Crater is two hours the other wrong way (east) in completely the opposite direction; and Valley of Fire is four hours the wrong way in a third entirely opposite direction (northwest, with a big loop all the way back through Las Vegas).
If you want to hit these - you might be able to hit Antelope Canyon and Meteor Crater in one day - stay in Cameron or Page instead of Grand Canyon Village, and leave two days to get back to Los Angeles instead of one (you can stop over in Laughlin and get a cheap, decent room at the Golden Nugget casino. It's not fancy, but it's, like, forty bucks).
You can hit the Hoover Dam a lot more easily on the way from Las Vegas to GCV.
I have booked most of the accomodations except LV & LA, let me know if there is any ways to improve on this trip thanks!
So, for Las Vegas: are you a Hyatt loyalist, or a Starwood loyalist? If you're a Hyatt loyalist or "none of the above", stay at the Aria; if you're a Starwood loyalist, stay at Caesars Palace. (If you need to do it on the cheap, stay at the Mirage or the Mandalay Bay.)
So you're suggesting we get a car once we reach LA, perhaps from the airport? Will parking be an issue around LA for the places we'll be visiting? Do hotels generally provide complimentary parking?
Yes; no; not in Los Angeles, but yes everywhere else.
Also, can you suggest an itinerary for a 2D1N trip out of vegas to the GC and also where to stay?
Thanks again!
Day 1: Drive to the Grand Canyon South Rim (not the West Rim, it's nowhere near as good); maybe stop off at Hoover Dam on the way. Stay in Grand Canyon Village if you can, or Flagstaff if you can't get a room at GCV. (You can also try the motel at the Cameron Trading Post, just near the east entrance to the park.)
Day 2: go hiking around the Grand Canyon in the morning; drive back in the afternoon.
