There isn't a best outlet in my opinion. I've been to both citadel & desert hills, both I also whack.. lol.. it really depends on individual... if u've time, do both else desert hills would be enuff but go early cos u'll need a whole day there... my 2 cents worth

Anyone can recommend the best outlet shopping mall in LA / SF?

What are your dates? If you're in the middle of a big tech conference, there's not going to be anything cheap - hotels go from $150 to $600 for the duration of big conferences like Dreamforce or Openworld.

You forgot to mention that he needs to wear bulletproof vest in that neighbourhoods...

Yes. USA is gun and gangster country. Very dangerous.
was thinking of going in mid to end September period but i think there is some big event going on during that period? planning to stay near san francisco union square area or along that stretch cause that is like the town area right? saw a few rooms going for maybe about $120 or less but the location is at the ghetto area which seems pretty unsafe. by the way, is it walking distance from their train station to union square area? estimated about how long?

You know he's (kinda) joking, right? I mean, I'll give you that Richmond is a bit crappy, but it's right next door to Berkeley which is ridiculously expensive and fancy.

September 12-14 is the Mobile World Americas conference in downtown San Francisco, so things are a bit jacked up on those dates, but after that is relatively reasonable.

Assuming you're not trying to travel on those exact dates, have a poke around on TripAdvisor; you should be able to find something relatively cheap and good; be realistic though, you're not going to get much for <$200 a night in San Francisco. I used to live around that part of town, so if you give us exact dates I can find and recommend a hotel.

The BART rail network runs all the way from the airport to the CBD, and there are four stops within walking distance to Union Square: Civic Center, Powell (the closest stop to Union Square), Montgomery (nearly as close, and less busy), and Embarcadero.

Haha. Berkeley is full of homeless roaming the street and lots of gun fights. Don't go there study. Dangerous and low ranking crap.

I'm staying in Richmond and I've walked from the Bart station back to the house when the sky is dark. I never felt unsafe.

So brave. But wait till something happens.

Mate, come on, that's rubbish and you know it. I go to Berkeley once or twice a month; my local game store is over there on University Avenue (it's called Eudemonia; if you're a Magic the Gathering player, make sure you swing by!).

Clearly you know a lot about Berkeley, so how about I meet you at Sliver for a pizza this weekend?
