Hi will anyone be able to advice me in US for GST aka Sales Tax.
Los Angeles
Las Vegas
California
New York
They have state, county and city tax. So it depends on the place. I believe it also depends on the purchase items.
Eg: Google says this for Las Vegas, LA and New York City.

Hi, is there a petrol station map in California as will be on a road trip for 10 days. Worry that is hard locate along the way.
Thanks.
I am heading to New York in Mar, and will be staying in the city for 3 nights. Any recommended hotels for a family of 2 adults and 1 teenage? Budget would be less than S$300 all in (breakfast can be excluded).
Or should I go for AirBnB?
Thanks.

Hi guys, im planning for a 3weeks vacation in the west and east.
Looking to land in San Franc.
And back to sg from new york.
San franc->LA->Las vegas->florida(orlando) - >washington(can dunnid visit also) - > new york + niagara falls.
Issit better to travel on amtracks within west coast and east coast and take domestic from west coast to east coast?
So, firstly, that's a lot for three weeks. I'd leave four weeks for that itinerary - something like:
- 4-5 days in SF
- a couple of days in LA (or ditch it entirely if you're doing Orlando, honestly LA is not that great)
- 2-5 days in Vegas (2-3 if you're just doing Vegas, 4-5 if you're using it as a base for Zion and the Grand Canyon)
- 3-4 days in Orlando,
- 3-5 days in DC (I love it because I'm a giant civics nerd)
- 3-5 days in NYC (and just do a day trip to Niagara).
Secondly, no, Amtrak sucks (ask the people who've been stuck on an Amtrak somewhere in Oregon since Sunday) and it's full of old people. Either fly or drive between SF-LA-LV; fly to Orlando; fly to Washington; then you can take the Amtrak Acela (which is the one Amtrak route that doesn't suck) to NYC.
Thirdly, my tip would be to do this in late summer/early autumn. The mountains will still be open, but all the kids will be back in school so Orlando won't be too crowded.
Hey thx for the tips! Will work on it.
Im actually only planning
2days san franc to see golden bridge and fisherman wharf
2days-3days LA to see hollywood and universal stuido
2days Vegas to just experience the atmosphere and find gordon ramsay restaurant
4-5days in orlando for theme parks
2days in washington to see white house and abraham lincoln
1week in new york (including 1 day tour to niagara falls)
