below is my simple to-do list for Vegas, do help to add if there's anything I have missed out.

1. Hoover Dam + Eldorado Canyon tour
2. Casino :s12:
3. Hotel overlooking Bellagio Fountain
4. O - Cirque du Soleil - tickets booked liao~!!

There are so many attractions in Vegas, I'm not sure which are the must go :s22:

I'd look for more authentic chinese food than panda express. Usually, Panda express is the last resort if there are no other chinese food around and I'm craving for asian food.

Oh mate, you're in for an absolute treat. Vegas is so great, and you don't even have to gamble to enjoy it. Here's a few tips.

  • If you want to watch the Bellagio fountains but you don't want to fight the crowds along the Strip, get yourself into Hyde nightclub early in the evening - like, 5-6pm. It's usually almost empty at that time of night, so you can get a booth by the windows, sip a cocktail, have some pre-dinner nibbles, and watch the fountains in total luxury;
  • If you're in the Bellagio anyway (for O and the fountains), don't miss the Fine Art Gallery out the back. They had a great Andy Warhol exhibition last time I was there;
  • Hotel-wise, you could go for a pricey room in the Bellagio or the Aria, but the real value play is the Vdara. The rooms are huge - they're basically 500sqft studio apartments that were converted into hotel rooms when the bottom fell out of the Las Vegas real estate market in 2008 - and they're ridiculously cheap too, like $120-$150 midweek. For not much more, you can get a Fountain View room which has a peekaboo view of the Bellagio fountains.
  • If you want to go cheaper, the Mandalay Bay and the Mirage are good too. Skip the MGM Grand, it's too big and crowded; and the Luxor/Excalibur/everything else are too cheap. (I guess the Wynn and the Venetian are nice too, but I'm loyal to the MGM hotels.)
  • If Penn and Teller are performing at the Rio when you're there, do whatever you can to get tickets - beg, borrow, steal, anything. They are the absolute best act in Vegas, and they hang around to sign autographs and take photos afterward.
  • Pro tip: when you get in a taxi at the airport, tell your driver to take Flamingo instead of the freeway. The taxi drivers love to take you to the strip via the freeway, but that's the long way round and it adds an extra $10 or so to the fare.
  • Oh, food, I forgot food. The best buffet on the strip is Wicked Spoon, at the Cosmopolitan; go there one morning for a lazy, boozy brunch that you'll remember for years. Bacchanal at Caesar's is pretty good too, but the queues are always monstrous.
  • If you want a steak, my personal pick is Jean-Georges at the Aria or Stripsteak at the Mandalay Bay; but the real hidden-gem restaurant in the Aria is Sage. Get there early and get their prix-fixe menu, it's an absolute steal. (Try the day-boat scallops if they're on the menu. SO GOOD.)
  • If you like Michael Jackson, the MJ One Cirque du Soleil show at the Mandalay Bay is pretty great, and usually pretty easy to get tickets to. While you're down at the MB, check out the Shark Reef aquarium exhibit, too - if you've got kidlets they'll love it.
  • If you like to gamble, don't forget to sign up for a Players Club card so the casinos can track your action and reward you. Like I said up top, I'm loyal to the MGM properties, but Paris Las Vegas usually has reasonably cheap blackjack and five-dollar craps tables most nights. (I imagine the Luxor and the Excalibur would too, but... the Luxor and the Excalibur? Bleah.) Speaking of which, if you see an empty craps table with a dealer standing there looking bored, throw down a twenty and ask them to teach you how to play craps. Screw baccarat; craps is the most fun you can have at a casino with your pants on.
  • Get off the strip for a bit! Go to the Organised Crime museum downtown, it's great; go to the Gun Store and shoot a machine-gun, that's great too. And if you like pinball, don't you dare miss the Pinball Hall of Fame - you'll get a lot more fun out of putting twenty bucks into these machines than you will at the slots.
  • Get out of town! If the weather's nice, rent a car and go hiking up at Red Rock Canyon (bring water though, you're in the desert!). The phenomenally beautiful Valley of Fire is only an hour and a half down the road, an easy drive up I-15; and you can come back via the Hoover Dam as well.
  • If you can afford to spend a night or two on the road, get thee up to Utah and spend a night around Zion National Park, which is pretty much the most mindblowingly beautiful place in the world. Zion and the Grand Canyon are both about 4-5 hours' drive from the strip, and they're both totally worth it; if you've got three nights to spare you can stick in Bryce Canyon as well, which is absolutely unearthly and a thrill to hike.

Any questions?

wanna try mcdonalds usa ? have 17% off gift cards here:

Mcdonalds : CardCash.com, Save Up To 35% On Discounted Gift Cards - All Major Retailers - CardCash.com

try the apple pie, its different from sg..

I was looking at cardcash.com. Could you tell me which credit card do you use to purchase your card? The FAQ says that the delivery address must be either the billing address or Paypal verified address. My Paypal address is in Singapore! Do they deliver here?

How was your experience using their gift cards? I am interested to get the cheesecake factory one.

promo usually for flying in and out from same city
this case no matter what one has to fly in/out of NYC/LAX plus the flight inbetween.

OK, yeah, first thing, Toronto in Nov/Dec is going to be cooolllldddd. NYC won't be too much better. And once you get into the western states, things like the Grand Canyon and Zion Canyon and the Sierras are going to be bitterly cold. Pack light; bring the bare minimum, and buy winter clothes when you get to Toronto. And keep your route toward the south of the country where it's nice and warm.

Here's a few stops you could make. I'm going to list things I like - so there's a heavy focus on the outdoors, architecture, science, and natural history. If you like shopping, I recommend holding off until you reach LA, so you're not carting a bunch of stuff all the way across the country.
  • Toronto - while you're there, do a day trip to Niagara, it's easy. You can probably do Montreal too, which is really good fun. I still think two weeks in Toronto is a bit long, though; I got bored there after three days. Then catch a Porter Airlines flight from Toronto City airport to:
  • NYC: Central Park! The Intrepid Museum! The American Museum of Natural History! The Museum of American Finance! Broadwaaaaaay! Top of the Rock! B&H Photo Video! Then head to Pennsylvania Station 'bout a quarter to four, read a magazine and then you're in Baltimore, and head to...
  • Washington DC: The Smithsonian! Dupont Circle! The Libraries of Congress! The White House! I dunno, maybe see if you can land a job at one of the NGOs! When you're done with that, head to Reagan National Airport and head for warmer climes in...
  • Miami! Snag a taxi to South Beach. Get a cheap room in one of the glorious old art-deco hotels on Ocean Drive or Collins Avenue. Watch the sun (and the topless sunbathers) on South Beach. Eat breakfast at the News Cafe on Ocean Drive. Take the Art Deco Walking Tour. Walk through Flamingo Park and fantasise about buying a little pied-a-terre for $150k. Then when you get bored of it being beautiful and sunny, hop on the shuttle bus down to...
  • Key West! The drive to Key West is sensationally beautiful - the Overseas Highway is a four-hour bus ride across a road that connects the islands of the Florida Keys like a string of pearls, and down the bottom of them all is Key West. Put your feet up; go visit the cats at Ernest Hemingway's house; and enjoy the warm water of the Caribbean Sea. Then, when you're ready, head for Key West airport and catch a flight to...
  • Las Vegas, baby, yeah! Snag a ridiculously cheap midweek suite at the Mirage; see Penn and Teller's stupendous magic show at the Rio, or the acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil; go hiking in the gorgeous surrounds of Red Rock Canyon or the Valley of Fire; eat some tremendous food at the restaurants and buffets on the Strip; see the fountains out front of the Bellagio; and then collapse into your bed at 4am, ready to wake up at four the next afternoon and do it all again. When you're ready to detox, hop on a Virgin America nonstop, and one hour later you're in...
  • San Francisco! Drink a black coffee and wake yourself up, then hop on the ferry over to Sausalito and explore the cute little waterfront. Go shopping in the Mission or Hayes Valley; hit up the Cal Academy museum and the Exploratorium; make a side trip to Muir Woods to see the biggest trees in the world; catch some killer comedy at the Punch Line; and then, rent a car and drive down Highway 1 (stopping for a night in the ridiculously beautiful Big Sur woods) to...
  • Los Angeles! No, really, Los Angeles is a bit of a hole, you don't want to spend too much time there. Except...
  • Santa Monica! Get yourself a hotel room by the beach; wander down to the boardwalk, dip your toes in the water, and marvel at how much colder the Pacific is than the Caribbean. Rollerblade down to Venice Beach and gawp at the Muscle Beach meat-heads. Wander over to Beverly Hills and gawp at the beautiful people; head up to the Getty Museum or the Griffith Observatory for a zillion-dollar view over Los Angeles. Then head to LAX and wave a wistful goodbye to the greatest country in the world. You know you'll be back.
(Because it's winter, it's a bit hard to do some of the really cool outdoorsy stuff like Yellowstone, or driving over Trail Ridge Road, or doing the Grand Canyon-Zion-Bryce Canyon "Grand Staircase" trip, or zipping over to Yosemite from San Francisco. You'll just have to come back in summer - and trust me, you'll want to.)

Grand Canyon and Utah area nov to mid dec is mild winter. Having lived in az for a couple yrs one can still explore these places easily. Drink and all not bad at all, we not talking about driving in NYC snown storm for 1st timers.

Even I visiting New Mexico park closing when there is a little snow is lame. Well can't help folks there not lived up north to experience real winter.
