The rest all would be very expensive ... Friends took saigon cab for $ 45
instead of just 160k or $ 9.60 for the trip ...

When going for food at ben thanh market:
Check your bills, they would guarantee confirm charge you more ...

Don't need pay at counter for these 2 reputable companies. After walk out to the non-air-con public area, walk all the way left, ignore the taxi stand also. There will be vinasun or mahlinh staff there in uniform. Approach them and they will get u a cab. Pay by meter to driver.

half day tour to cucu tunnel is around 5sgd

Add on, lotus seed. Cashew nuts lotus seeds go Chinatown buy. 200k one kg. Benh Tanh selling at double the price.

Yup tats what i did normally
got once, we went to the counter to buy cab tickets
cox not very expensive, about 12sgd
we went into the cab, the cab driver on the meter
the cab driver keep see the meter ...
when the rate hit somewhere near 100k.
he just simply dropped us at that place ...
then carry our luggage out ...

guess he dont know where our hotel location is in district 1
our hotel was 3.5* hoang hai long that time with 100+ rooms
somemore is at main road, shouldnt be a problem finding the hotel ...

then we reached somewhere around the hotel, the cab driver keep see

very far haha ... never been there before
guess cab there from d1 is abt 30 min

lotus seeds is nice, sometimes buy those packed ones from supermarket
cox ben thanh market like carrot tourists ...

Uber better...compare to Vinasun or Malinh, about 50% nia. In the past, airport to Ben Thanh we pay 160K, now only 80K. Damn cheap. But if need to comm on exact location, could be an issue if you dont know tieng viet. Luckily I got vn wife...LOL. But can try, why not, since I have seen quite a number can converse in English...they edu one.

In vn, uber more common and popular compared to Grab. Price cheaper too. But overall Grab or Uber, both cheaper than normal cab by 40-60%. Must try. But sometimes too cheap, we round up, too paiseh, also depends on service and attitude.

how do you type in the address for uber/grab? copy paste the viet words?

for booking of tours to the tunnel/mekong delta thru Sinhtourist,
can i go there to book one day b4 the trip? or need a few days inadvance?

going there on 16th to 18dec

went there one day before our trip ...
went there in apr, so is ok ..
there is total 3 buses going there, one way is 2 hours
if u can book earlier, is better ...
