1)If you read the forum , you know what currency to use there. DOng will be accepted widely since it is vietnam. If you feel rich or wish to be short change, can use USD. If not use Dong all the way
2) now taking grab to airport require more time as they are doing the road, 2 hours buffer will be good since i believe your timining is 5+pm
3) nothing to shop at the airport so dont bother and they charge everything in USD in airport which convert to dong is expensive. Have your lunch outside first before go to the airport.

5 plus is peak already...jam starts around 4 plus. Don't underestimate, so give more buffer. If have kids, airport departure now got priority queue for family with young kids and old folks/handicapped. So look out for it, no need join the long queue :D

no benh thanh in ha noi. get it quickly before sing dollar drops further.

VND rate here has been not bad in recent months. Wonder why, maybe demand is there already. Maybe just 50 to 100 dong different from rate at ben thanh.

:eek::s11::(:(

Got it already... but yet to see.

I am planning for a Hanoi trip for more than 10 people in year end....but very headache when go into details. DIY too siong, too many things to consider, plan properly and coord, logistics wise also and airtic...etc. Got young kids too. So thinking of outsource tours (sapa/lao cai, halong bay, ninh binh etc) there to a local agency. But as airtic and coord also siong, thinking of maybe have a customised tour with a local agency, so to ease our planning and also able to achieve what we want to do and see. Any one can share if hv similar experiences? TQ

Anyone knows if Halong Bay tours better to book online or look for one in Hanoi? Any good recommendations?

Quickly visit the agencies in Chinatown to put something together.

What do you all think of https://xotours.vn/tours/vietnam-food-tour.html ?

75USD seems abit ex but touring the city in a motorbike and eating local food seems like a good experience. Anyone tried it before?

The tour is expensive, they will take you those sea food and beer drinking small restaurant, eating OC (Shell), BBQ and beer,. nothing to shout about.
But it will be worth when you seat behind the XMM veit bu and squeeze her NNP throughout the bike ride.
