Is it on https://onlinefx.westernunion.com or where?

I thought this is only for the USA, UK and some other countries, but not Singapore. They might not accept payment via credit/debit cards that are issued in Singapore.

Have you checked whether they actually accept sending from Singapore?

On its Singapore website https://www.westernunion.com/SG/en/send-money.html seems like the only way is to go to their location, not online...

Just went hcm a few days ago.read from this thread about prices quoted in usd which i was worried about. But when i touched down till leaving hcm,i only had to use usd once and that was to extend my hotel stay for a few hours. Otherwise everything else in viet dong leh,how come u all stressed so much on using usd ah? Sorry if i sound rude but just curious if there is any rationale?

vietnamese in tourism sector always set their prices in usd and then apply "their exchange rates" to give you the local amount in dong. dong used to be a falling currency and they want to prevent loss when the communist government suddenly devalues the currency. however, dong has been stable for at least the past 5 years, more stable than most asean currencies.

so this doesnt mean you have to carry wads of dollar bills and pay street vendors in usd.

You're searching for departure from vietnam. Tigerair display air fares in USD. There is an option to change it to vnd in the web version. Jetstar display in vnd though.

Preferred currency is still vietnamese dong. There's no way they will reject accepting VND. Some angmoh tourists dont like to carry VND and they get "punished" by paying in USD which after conversion is much higher than VND.
Always carry VND with you and pay in VND as the preferred method.

The only time i know they quoted in USD is when you're calling for a chick. Ha ha.
No, i never have to pay in USD. Not even once.
