If you mean HCMC in general then yeah, I'm kinda expecting it. But I hope with Google Translate it won't be that bad. And survive till my Viet friend finishes work by evening haha

If taking bus from HCM to Mui Ne, is there a preferred timing?

Read a few reviews on other sites saying it's better to avoid night buses due to reckless driving.

Should be going Mui Ne 2 days, followed by 3 days in HCM.
Any suggested activities welcome

never ever take night bus.... too dangerous
They drive very fast and reckless one

DJ cafes are everywhere.. no need to visit all of them. They're pretty much all the same. Go in, sit down, order a coffee and watch the dj spin techno music. Sometimes you see people doing school work there as well. Until now i still cant understand what's so interesting about this, although i still go and sit for a while.
In 1 cafe, they have pole dancing and they add extras in my bill for that!

Take the morning public bus. Mui Ne is like Phuket but less crowded. Most of the signboards are in Russian. Lots of seafood to eat. Beach and water is clean. Think there is some sand dunes that u can visit. Wind surfing, kite surfing etc...

I recommend Phu Quoc. More things to do and see.
