if go vietnam hcm 3d2n or 4d3n for couple what can we do? do we need to go by tours as is dangerous or can free and easy?

No need book tour. Just buy a ticket from budget airlines like scoot or jetstar. Avoid other budget airlines like Vietjet as frequent delays.
Stay in district 1. It's the tourists district and you won't have problems with language. Many tour agencies there, Just book some day tours, or book grab or uber to go to places of interests.
as long as you don't show your wealth, and don't use your phone by the roadside, hcm is a pretty safe place.

Vietjet is not bad if u are coming back from hcmc. A little delay is good.
Stewardess prettier, wear shorts and speak better english. Seats are MUCH MORE spacious that jetstar and tiger. Tickets are 15% cheaper

In the news yesterda, Thai vietjet has been banned from flyng international flights. Same parent company...

For 3D2N, you can do :
-Half day city tour (Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, City Hall / Bitexco Tower, Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum)
-Half day Cu Chi Tunnel tour (70km outside of HCMC, hard to go by yourself, should join tour)
- Shopping at Ben Thanh Market (to me, this is over-hype), Siagon Square, Sense Market (highly recommended, aircon, clean, nice modern food court, many small shops selling clothing)
- Clubbing can go Bui Viet Walking Street (highly recommended even tho you don't like clubbing, just go there look see)
- For up market type of shopping center, they have Taka, Vincom, Pakson, Union Square (to me, they are good for taking cover when raining heavily)

For 4D3N, all of the above plus Mekong River Tour (should join tour too ).

You can check up one of their local tour agent https://www.tnktravel.com. I use them before, very professional and reliable.

We use Uber to move around too.

Hmm...I have been there to visit some factories. Very bad traffic jams when coming back to city area.

If you have time, take a day trip to Vung Tao and enjoy a day at their beautiful beach.

Don't like vietjet as they have only 4 check in counters that apply to all routes, you will see the queue is dame long everytime.
