Gna plan a cheap to mid-range solo travel to Hanoi for 7 days next year March.
Few questions for the experienced here please:

- Is Hanoi Brothers Travel Inn Dorm good enough?
- What is the best form of mid-range commute in Hanoi? (I can't ride a bike)
- Plan to take a shuttle bus from Airport to Old Quarter Area, are there any specific companies I should avoid?
- Is it highly expected that someone will rob my pouch/camera while I'm on the streets (for lack of better phrasing :/ )
- Will 7 Days for Hanoi be too much/little (2-3 days will be out for Halong Bay)?

Looking for private Driver for 2 separate day trips out to Halong Bay and Hoa Lu/Ninh Binh.

Just my Wife and I so don’t really intend to join a bigger group.

If you sign up for the Halong Bay package, there is usually mini-van transport to and from the pier at Halong city. When you board the ship you have your own cabin. If you mind the mini-van bit, check at the place you are staying in Hanoi to sign up for Halong Bay package.

I am so impressed with Vietnam. The wifi works so much better than here. Regardless of vehicles (except motorbikes - this one I don't know), small cafe or restaurants - all work well. I'm happy to save money from buying pre-paid card.

singaporean have not leave their comfort zone , dont see how other countries are...... i been to worse countries than vietnam....

Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers - the club floor service is one of the best. Wide variety of food for breakfast & evening cocktail. Better than Sheraton Macau that I stayed few months back.

Hi beanstalk ,for Hanoi Bay package book online cheaper or book in Hanoi cheaper ?

I can't speak for Hanoi but in HCM, I booked the package there and there. Luckily I did not book online because when I was there, they said the particular package was no more available and ask me to top up for another package. So I decided to go to another travel agent.
