Transportation within Hanoi is more likely to be affected than HCMC. The funeral will be held in Hanoi.

Hello, 1st time travelling to Hanoi Old Quarter during Dec with my family.
Need some advise.
1) Any recommendation on food & things to buy? Need bargain?
2) Local people understand english?
3) SIM card, which telco is better?
4) How much should we tip the tour guide?

Is it true that buying original under armour and nike in hcm is cheaper?

Cause country of origin is vietnam

Have already booked my air ticket to Saigon and hotel, I am looking forward to this trip

Some more questions
1.Any recommendation for French restaurant, Italian restaurant or Indian restaurants because I cannot eat Vietnamese food every each day.

2.is it worth traveling to the Chu Chi tunnel for a day trip from Saigon. I heard the tunnel was built for the tourists, the real one is not open to the public. If yes, should I join the tour there?

3. I will be spending six days at Saigon. What else can I do there?

For French food, can consider The Mach House, 75 Pasteur, Bến Nghé, Quận 1, Bến Nghé Quận 1. Try to make a reservation as it is always full. Indian food can be found in Bui Vien.

If you got time to spare, can join the cu chi tunnel. Imagine what the viets went thru in war.

Other things to do: visit Mekong river, Bitexco, cafe hopping, pham ngu lao / bui vien streets, chinatown. Or just shop in D1 malls.

Recently there is a new cafe opened. The floor of the cafe is filled with swimming kois and small fishes and you can dip your feet in the water while you enjoy coffee..
