Time for lunch.
Went to this famous prawn pancake.
Banh Knot 14 Goc Vu Sua

Basically how u eat this is wrap the pancake with veggies
And dipped into the fish sauce.
You can add garlic or chilli to the fish sauce.

Lunch meal Vnd$67,000 = sgd$4
Portion just ok.

Coz I plan to jiak another famous food.

The famous on tv Salted egg cake.
Goc Cot Vien

Locals & tourist come here buy.

This is just across the street of the pancake

The production line still manual.

You can feel the heat even u r standing.
Can imagine these workers facing the heat 8hrs a day
Really chiam.

Put the salted egg inside.

Basic is vnd$25,000 = sgd$1.50 for a box

Other flavours included.
Taste Not too bad.

Jiak bah bah. Next destination is to see the Buddha

This place quite small and free.
Less than 10mins done.
But need to climb stairs.

Next destination is the Goddness of Mercy.
Thatz my grab bike Lol.

Most of the statues r in white color.
The Jesus , the Buddha & Goddness.
White represents for purity?

Come Vung Tau. Of coz must go beach.
Beach is crowded even for week day.

Dead fish is common on beaches.

But how about dead sotong? :-O

While most ppl come here for a swim , a tan
But
Some have to come here and work for a living
Under the Scorching hot weather.

The sea is not so nice.
In fact litter with plastic and cans.

Need to educate about environmental friendly. :[

Gonna watch Aladdin later.
Ticket cost Vnd$60,000 = Sgd$3.60

Make sure u buy the subtitles movie.
Coz they have the dubbed version.
Cinema is quite decent
Seat is ok.

After running around for the whole day.
Time for dinner.

Come to this mid price French food.
Don Quijote Restaurant.
Very near to my hotel, Pullman. (Grabbike)

Quite a small cosy place.

Duck breast \o/ + drink

Cost: Vnd $310,000 = sgd $18.50.
Can be cheaper if u order other drinks.

Now back to HCM.
Ferry timing
8am , 10am, 12pm, 2pm (weekdays)
Weekend till 4pm.

Wkends can book in advance.
Should be quite crowded on wkends.

Conclusion

If you are planning to come 2 days 1 night.
You should be able to cover all the Vung Tau attractions

But

If you lack of time and only able come for a day.
Then I suggest to visit:

• Jesus Christ Statue (Tuong Dai Chua Kito Vua)
• Hon Ba & concrete house ( oppposite Jesus Christ entrance )
• Lighthouse
• Beach

The above 4 will take about a day.
Take 8am ferry and reach Vung Tau 10am
And take bus back to HCM 6pm or last bus 7pm.

Should make a visit to Vung Tau if u r in HCM.

Just had chicken pho at Vincom ctr.

For 1st timers, you can come over here see see look.
H&M, Zara, Mango, Cinema, food, Vina supermart is all here.

In front of Vincom ctr, is Union Square.
All the atas brand is here. But forget it. only 6-8 shops. most shops r empty.

The 2 towers behind is Vincom Ctr.

Some of the massage didn’t state that and once u go in and do ur massage

The massageuer will ask u for tips. As high as 150k
On top of the service charge $350k.

First time I didn’t know. Kanna. but still cheaper than in sg
2nd time I asked for tips included massage price.

So far my massage experience wasn’t good.
I think is more Chinese massage.

Best still Bangkok.

I don't like Thai massage tho. Chinese massage i like thanks for the heads up. Sad but tru, bad experience makes good stories :/

After check-in. Went to the nearest attraction.
Saigon Opera House
Very nice colonial building built in 1897.
French ruled Vietnam for hundred years.

And you thought u just arrived France. :-O
The gov have a restoration in 1995.

Next walking distance is Notre Dame Cathedral.
Unfortunately. The building is under restoration.
So can’t see much. :[

Cathedral was built in late 1880s
Thank god *********s never bomb this building.

Next visit. Vietnam People’s Committee.
The gov office.

Looks very grand.
That shows last time architect spent a lot of time designing

Also built in the late 1880s.

Wondered is it the same architect. The similarities seems familiar

Very high ceiling. Don’t feel hot inside.

Very typical of European interior design.
Using a lot of arches

In the past. Build high ceiling to cool the interior
Now. Developer will tell you don’t waste time & money
Built 2 levels to collect more rentals. :[
Use space wisely.

Come here is to admire the architecture.
Take some time to observe the details. \o/ \o/

Found the 4Ps Pizza near my hotel
Just type search and all the outlets show up in google.
Decided to check out the pizza.

Quite crowded despite the location was at the backlane.

The good thing here is , you can chose half-half pizza.
So go for the most recommended.
Seafood & Teriyaki Chicken.

My seat is near the counter.
Can see how they prepare the food.

4 ppl team
• One prepare the base
• One put the ingredients. Can see he is doing up for my seafood & teriyaki
• One put the pizza in the over and control the heat (over400deg)
• One slice up the pizza and remove those chao tar parts.

My pizza is gonna get cook!!!
