well... cause the vietbu may not make it on time after her work to the airport as it is 1hour away.... so better dont take plane

but side note.... you be at the bottom of the hill, need bus or taxi to go dalat, another 45- 1 hrs

Anyone here been to Sapa or Lao Cai? Are trekking boots required for the trip or would sport shoes suffice?

I rmb hcm to dalat is about 8 hrs....

dalat to nha trang about 4-6 hrs....

because keep going round the mountain, can induce vomiting so bus prepare black plastic bag n some people will buy plums or sweets to munch on the way....

up n down is the same, round n round the mountain....

What is your budget, requirements and preferences?

I stayed twice there - once at Cosmopolitan Hotel in D3 and once at Saigon Book Hotel right next to the airport (you can walk there). Both fine to me.

Why so long? Only 300km, around 6 to 7hr should reach. Planning to charter a minibus for family and in-laws there to go dalat from hcmc and then nha trang year end, more convenient with kids and can go anywhere we want along the route.

and dont forget they keep on stopping to pick up passengers to earn extra income... so more delays

Hah..can like that ah..no wonder. That's why we prefer to charter own transport which is not that ex per head.

fly over to Dalat aiport also need 3 hour bus to dalat city as i remember their airport is far from the Dalat city.

I mean as a tpt throughout the trip, not just point to point, can go anywhere you want and he will also be able to recommend places to visit. So you don't hv to worry about tpt there.
