remember to confirm earlier to avoid paying extra festive season charges :D:D

I should be going for a couple of days just before Christmas. Probably looking at Elios again as Pham Ngu Lao is a great area to stay to be in the thick of action! :s12:

Any other hotels at slightly expensive rates and in good location can be considered too. Please recommend.

Hmm.. i would recommend Elios since it offers the most competitive price with free wifi thrown in as well as helpful staffs.. the other is Asian Hotel which located in the heart of the city, but its no of rooms are rather limited and pretty small compared with Elios Hotel

It is good. Stayed there last dec when I was there. Cheap and good hotel. Centrally located, free wifi from room, and the staff's attitude is fantastic!

Actually, for most Asian Countries.. the peak season would be from Oct -> Chinese New Year.. you probably think that way like most others is because most hotels make a room surcharge on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year Eve, New Year Day..:D

liberty 4 is located just near Elios Hotel as well. its also a 3 star rated hotel, rooms are nice and clean as well, nicer than Elios, but in terms of price, its far more expensive than Elios becuz Liberty is a chain hotel and it caters to budget minded businessmen while Elios caters to casual travellers :D

hi all,

i need some advices... I have planned with a friend of mine to be flying on the evening of 10th July and returning on 19th July on Tiger Airways.

However, i am still quite doubtful of the way the transportation works there. I need advices from experienced travellers who had been to vietnam. I am planning my trip to start from Hanoi and to end at Saigon(HCMC). It will be a total of 10 days trip.

My plans for the trip goes like this:

SG - Hanoi - Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An - ( Nha Trang - Da Lat [either one]) - Saigon - Mekong Delta - Saigon - SG

Please enlighten me which is the best way to travel from state to state or province to province or location to location. Most impt Cheap and reliable...

SG - > HANOI -> DANANG (you could opt to have book it via pacific airlines)
Danang -> Hoi An -> Nha Trang (Overland by coach bus)
Nha Trang - > Saigon (via Air/ Coach Overland)
Saigon -> Mekong -> Saigon (overland by coach)
