Pham Ngu Lao is the backpackers corner in District 1, just 10mins walk away from Ben Thanh market. Many pubs, restaurants and small shops there.

Of course, there are other happening discos around, that *cough cough* one. Asl Techadd for recommendations :s22:

oh well... its 'happening' compared to other parts of town :D
hmm, possible. Hubby and I got quite tired after walking around the whole day so went back relatively early to rest. We did notice that De Tham and the roads around it were v busy at night though. Esp the shops selling cheap beer and snacks.

BTW, do all the standard rooms in Elios come without windows? Was strange not to be able to see the sky... We do like the hotel, esp for the price and location, but wonder if we should have splurged a bit more so we get a window. :p

Hi Telur17,
some of the standard rooms have windows, just need to put in a note when u are making reservation that you would want a standard room with windows :)

I have a picture of that too at home! :s13: I think the glass dessert is call Che if im not wrong.

I like hanging around Ben Thanh as well, but my best place that I visit everyday is this restaurant call Quan Ngon. Open air alfresco concept. CHEAP AND GOOD! Pack to the brim everyday even though the place is big :s13:

P/S My standard room I went at Elios also have no window. Think I better put in a note to state I want a window should I book it.

Go until there mai niao. U want good company, u have to pay for the company.

Come, I recommend u one good place to relax for an hour or more.

A good hair wash by a pretty STY, followed by a back and head massage (in an open area). While massaging you, she will feed you fruits and fruit juice like a king. Confirm shiok! Total cost? 70,000 dong :s22: I have to state 1st, no hanky panky hor. Clean one. U tip the girl a bit seperately from the bill of 70,000 :s13:
