hi guys
i m planning to go vietnam 4 community work n may need 2 get to Da nang

need help on whether i shld take a domestic flight / train or wad other ways to get there from ho chin minh city?? keeping budget as low as possible...thx!

i rember the last time i went there, it was a Public Holiday.

Next Sat Morning on early morning flight to HCM, change flight from international airport to domestic airport.

wonder if the domestic airport accepts payments for food in USD? my wife say not sure leh.

feel like taking a day tour package for either one of this place on my first day there..

You can try a Cao Dai and Cuchi tunnel full day package since both are of close proximity with each other.

may/june is alright as for the domestic air price, you can try online with jetstar although i'm not sure if the price is out yet

you can go by yourself if you like, all are lcoated within the city

Am I correct to say that the only significiant difference going via tour and by my self , is that there is some one to guide you along?

Btw is there good weblinks to see a detailed map of saigon to look for direction to the attractions?

all the places u wanna go are quite close to each other. notre dame cathedral is just next to the post office. can just get a good map from the airport or your hotel and walk. not that far.

er.. y you wanna waste 15 hours on the train ride.. and the price wise for sleeper train, if u pump it up a little more, u could take the flight instead

presidential palace is about 30mins walk while the war museum wise, you would be better off taking a cab

actually u can take taxi.. but ask ur hotel ppl to call for u.. but again.. personally i will prefer to walk ard.. who know u may c something interesting..

during my stay over there.. i have walked everywhere.. but only managed to cover DIST1 to 4.. total got 16 DIST.. haha
i only took cab ard 6 times during my 5days stays over there
