For free & easy travellers, try this free map app called MAPS.ME....really good. It's based on GPS alone, so no data required or any Telco service required. After install app, go download country you required and off you go. It'll real time track your location anywhere.

second this tips. i have been using this offline map whenever i take taxi to places which i pinned. just show the taxi driver and they hieu. hihi..

You can't really do much at airport alone with 3 hours, so why change VND? There is also nothing much at TSN airport....pretty small and boring.

for short 3 hours, i will go up to the foodcourt and eat their pho and drink cafe sua. got wifi to keep the rest of the time occupied.

Yup, bought a new 2-storey landed semi-D type house for my in-laws in Nov 14 somewhere near D7. It's cheap, only S$43K.

As Bus 19 approaches the theme park, you can actually see the park on your right side, but the bus attendant will also shout out the name. When you going back, you need to cross a bridge to other side to take Bus 19 back to BT.

looking at property near Crescent mall. which part of D7 did you buy?

just found out on somebody's blog.

there are gold shops along Ha Trung Street in Hanoi's old quarters that double as money exchangers. try bringing your SGD there and hope they give good rates.

Careful. One expat living in Vietnam for years told me - 'buying real estate in Vietnam is like playing in casino... but with casino you at least have a chance to win.'

Phu My Hung is pretty premium, apartments/landed not cheap, not ready to put so much there as I think returns not so great. Also dun want to go thru the hassle of admins and foreigner only allows 50yrs ownership (subj to renewal) As I mentioned before, I have more liquid, short term, higher returns investment here. The landed house I bought is mainly for my ILs as their old house is really run down and far from city. It's at Le Van Luong Nha Be, not in D7, as then it'll be much more exp. It's at outskirts of D7 and pricing more for locals.

One sinkie, one vnb...where got 2 in one country...LOL

I think the right idea is to have one wife per country. If you travel fairly often should not be a problem.

There was a news several years ago about a con man in US. He had fake colonel's uniform and managed to marry to six different women in different states and living at their places and moving from one to another. it was going on for several years.
