I tried crossing the road in front of ben thanh market around the roundabout, my balls shrink.

vietnam hcm very hard to cross road, motorbike too many haha ...

not really once you get the hang of it. and you learn how to walk decisively as well

Dust/mud.. Damn bad. Everything white is in brown as well as the food. People are generally friendly.

I went during their "winter" period. No snow

I've been to hcm 7 or 8x, and only stay in tan binh, near airport. I like to roam around riding a bike. So far haven't get pick pocketed or met any crimes. The taxi drivers, other than vinasun, like to pull a fast one. So you have to up your guard when you're there. But if you don't carry too much cash, donT wear flashy, and avoid using your phone by the side of the road, then its pretty safe. just rem, its not singapore, so just be more cautious.

nope.. but also depends on your activities bah, if normal sightseeing and simple shopping can be very budget one..

if yes,
then have to see u flying to hcm or hanoi
if hcm , sq is abt 187 during promo ...
jetstar tiger is abt 100sgd
hotel 3* is abt 30sgd to 50sgd per nite for two with breakfast

hanoi is more expensive
budget airline if promo is abt 128sgd cheapest, to 250+

Can plan to fly to Ha Noi first, then explore the area, take domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh and fly back to Singapore from there.

dist between Hanoi and HCM is greater than distance between hcm and singapore. HCM is nearer to singapore than the capital.

maybe fewer competitors, fewer leisure travellers so chop biz travellers gao gao. hanoi is not a popular tourist destination among asians. only ang moh tourists like to go there.
