Just taken over father's renewed 07 NCP 42.
Mileage is approx 500km full tank and nothing close to what some have claimed.

Only did minor wear tear repairs like front absorber, CV joint, tyres change but still on 14" wheels, brake fluid top up, brake pads and rotor change, ATF top up.

Is it the age (>10yrs) or any other stuff I should take note to improve mileage?
Thanks!

Before you fret on the consumption.

Try manually calculating your FC per tank before you wonder if it's normal.

If you get 500km per tank, and you pump 31L, your FC is 16km/L, that's very amazing already.

Don't just look at per tank, look at the FC. For Auto, anything from 11km/L is pretty good already.

Understand what you mean.
It's approx 11.5 to 12 depending on highway usage.
Maybe heard too many miraculous FC of Vios hence having unreasonable expectations.
Cheers.

Is the tyre profile correct for that 14" rim?

Not really. In fact I'm trying to maintain <3k RPM for first 2 gears.
Though sometimes I do reach 3k in first gear.

Low RPM change gear might take more fuel. Bogs down the engine

Can try to keep giving fuel system cleaner and use good engine oil to clean up the engine after all these years

Here they are talking mostly on the tank, and how far it can go, it by no means equate that FC is good :)

My Vios achieved the highest is peaked at 14k/l 50/50 driving.

Towards the 6-8th year it's all about 12-13km/l. Nothing to fret about. If it drops to 8km/l, start worrying.

.......

Quite funny actually
Erm, I'm was on full HID, so having 4 shine into the car infront, makes most of them give way, especially in KPE when they roll at 70-75km/h on Lane 1 *rolls eyes*

Join VOGS, your fc either gets better or worse :s13:

Imo... Vios FC is really good, anything >11-12km/l is decent for Auto. Even after changing to 15-16" rims, FC is still about the same, and you gain stability! :)

Yes hahaha... I had yet to try on my 80%expressway driving... City driving FC really sucks to the core with my bigger rims... Only 10-11+ nia... Puik... :(
