Havent buy yet but am considering the face-lift vios

Engine bay strut bar without lowering is like no effect actually, cuz I'm currently on this setup

Slight... very SLIGHT improvement in cornering and anti-body roll, but not the best without lowering. I was on engine bay strut then lowered.

We recommend LCH bros in the jb thread. A bit far but workmanship is good.

Consider a set of good tires in JB! RE003 is good, each is only about $70+ for 15" there.

Just replaced all 4 tyres to Michelin XM2.
14" at 210RM per piece.
Major, major difference from the Super crappy falken tyres.

Ah yes, avoid falken. Might try XM2 tyres next but no reason for me not to use RE003 since the price is thereabout the same.

don't think that i'm the only one. i'm sure there are many others running BEYOND that speed hitting 100% with Vios.

Only if you're confident with your setup and vehicle condition. 1st thing to change out will be that 5.5jj stock rims.

The owner’s manual will state the type of oil.

But typically most 5w-30 or 5w-40 will suit your Vios. Get from a known brand to be safe.

Change rim to 17inch (Heavier and stable during high speed)
Added front strut bar (Ultra Racing)

did 170km/hr @ nshw, don't dare to go higher cos its stock engine.

Nice setup. 17 inch rims might be heavier and tyres are expensive. I'm on 15 inch 6.5jj, definitely much more stable than stock 15 inch 5.5jj.

5W30 or 5W40 fully synthetic. For normal oil changes, do in SG is good enough. Check out Acma or workshops near you.

Maybe you can help us understand why do you want to reset ECU or what is it that you want to achieve? For my case, I didn't reset when I took over the vehicle at 130k km.

As Buggi3 korkor said, first understand why you want to do that first, then weigh the pros and cons, resetting is very easy, unplug the power cable to the battery for 30-1hour, all settings including your radio will be gone.

However, I seriously doubt it will do much...

I think too much respect have been given to the Vios ECU

Last time forum got some urban legends:

-ECU very smart to adapt to driver. You want fast have to drive fast and the ECU will make your car faster
-Every batch got one R&D car. Will be especially powerful
-Cut holes in airbox to increase airflow
-Vios too powerful for Goodyear Eagle F1
