Last time forum got some urban legends:

-ECU very smart to adapt to driver. You want fast have to drive fast and the ECU will make your car faster
-Every batch got one R&D car. Will be especially powerful
-Cut holes in airbox to increase airflow
-Vios too powerful for Goodyear Eagle F1

Maybe you can help us understand why do you want to reset ECU or what is it that you want to achieve? For my case, I didn't reset when I took over the vehicle at 130k km.

Will this improve the response / pick up when stationary?

Whenever I start car (NCP 42) on a cold morning theres a screeching sound from the engine; alternator belt i presume?

Changed new belts since Dec and was okay until last week the same screeching is back.
Done 20000km since and I don't think the belts should be damaged so soon?

Any experts can advise?

I tried everything to fix it and it will just come back

Think cos the belt dont have pre-tensioners

Read somewhere the cause could be belt loosened and hence moisture built up over the night.

Anyway what would be a approx gauge to the belt replacement? 80,000km?
